Skin Scientific Reviews (%countItem)

I was scammed! I was drawn into an advertisement online for a new skin solution supposedly with Giada DeLaurentis name attached.
I ordered free samples of eye cream and skin serum, paying around $5 each for shipping. There really isn't much difference from this product and drug store products. The following month, I received boxes of more product. I wrote "cancel" and returned the items. The same thing happened the next month. Fast forward to this month, I happened to be looking at my credit card statement to see if an Amazon order was done, and noticed a charge for $6.77 from Flexefit (?) I was suspicious because neither my husband nor I knew what it was. So I decided to dig deeper. They had charged my card four months in a row. It took 25 minutes on the phone to learn they got my "order" from a skin company. They refunded the money, but looking back even farther, I was charged a total of $369.58 for the products I sent back! Of course the phone number had been disconnectedit said it was Frankiesskincream. Yes, it is on me since I had no idea until it was entirely too late, but these scammers need to be held accountable!

Desired Outcome

I want my money back! I never kept any of the products.

I am trying to cancel my subscription and am not able to contact the company. The phone number does not work. I am not able to sign in to my account
I am charged monthly for 2 products, eye serum and Anti-Aging Lot#XXXXXX. I am unable to contact anyone from the company. Phone doesn't work and I am not able to access my account using my email address. I want to cancel my subscription and no longer be charged via my credit card. My cr is 14.

Desired Outcome

Cancel subscription services totally. I don not want the product. I do not want my credit card charged as of 7/11/18.

Did not know would be sent monthly product, charged $94 twice each month.Company would not give refund
Advertisement when on computer, seemed tied to Chip and Joanne Gaines Magnolia business.Requested sample,to be charged for shipping and handling.
No idea was to receive monthly product,no mention of monthly product or price in confirmation email.
When credit card statement came, charged $94.91 from skinsolutionscream855-863-4569ny and $94.85 from fsv*forteeyeserum855-205-3382fl on Aug 30th and Aug 31st, 2017.Had received 2 packages that I had returned unopened.Called to complain, argued had not requested monthly shipments. Finally was told I would receive refund, confirmation #CBCO789AXXX XXX.Next credit card statement I did receive refund but then also charged again same as prior month.
Called to again complain, refused refund since past 30 days, told unaware of monthly delivery so unable to cancel in 30 days.Told I would not
receive refund.Cancelled credit card so I would no longer be charged.Scam to charge unsuspecting consumers with no intention to receive monthly shipments and having no idea of charges to credit card, no idea of need to cancel something that I didn't know I was going to receive and what I would be charged. Angry that it is possible for companies to do this so easily. thank you

Desired Outcome

I would like to be refunded since I had sent the product back as soon as I received it, because I was not aware of charges until credit card bill arrived. I would also wish there would be a way to prevent these type of scams, require clear statements that a person is signing up for monthly products or services and costs involved.

To whom it may concern,
After reviewing Ms. complaint we want to apologize for any confusion. The package you received is a full thirty day supply, we do not offer sample sizes. We sent you a full size bottle and allow you to try it for the 14 day trial period to see if you like it, for just the cost of shipping and handling. If you like the product after your trial, you are billed for the actual cost of the product and enrolled in a monthly subscription. The reason we send you a full 30 day supply to try is because of the overwhelming response and feedback from customers who love the product, and want to continue seeing their results. Our records indicate Ms. was reimbursed for the amount of $94.85 and $94.91 when she called in on October 19, 2017 for her September shipment. At that time her account was also cancelled with us, and no futre shipments were sent to her or billed to her account. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. While we do not show the products were returned we have issued the remaining $94.85 back to the account we have on file for her and have issued a check for the remaining $94.91, which has been mailed to the address provided. We hope she is satisfied with our business and we would like to apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.
Sincerely,
Customer Support

Sorry for the delay in response, I have issues with my computer email. Just wanted this on the record. The same credit statement I was first reimbursed for my alleged purchase, I was also charged again for the product before the account was closed. Also, I contend that the product was first presented as a trial sample which I stupidly thought I'd try. I returned the product both times I had received additional shipments. I'm sorry your records do not support this. So far I have received one refund check, more than I thought I would be refunded through this scam-like set up.

Thank you for your service.

This company scams it's customers through false advertising. They offer free products and then charge your account for such products.
I paid for shipping to receive free products and never authorized them to charge any other amount of money to my account. So, in essence they took my cc info from the shipping payment and used it to charge my account $90. What is worse is that the products DO NOT work at all. In fact store bought Olay is better than what they offer. They are scamming people on Facebook as well claiming to have been on Shark Tank etc. Please stay away from this company.

Desired Outcome

I would like my money back. My bank disputed the charge however this scam company presented them with my address so I am stuck with the charge.

We sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding. We send out a full size bottle and allow you to try it for the 14 day trial period to see if you like it, for just the cost of shipping and handling. If you like the product after your trial, you are billed for the actual cost of the product and enrolled in a monthly subscription. On the contrary, we are unable to issue Mrs. any refunds because her account shows she disputed the charges. Once charges are disputed, we are not able to issue refunds in avoidance of double reimbursement that result in fraudulent activities. We hope Mrs. is satisfied with our business and we again want to apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Poor communication re free trial
I received an offer for a free trial for skin scientific. What I had seen on the offer was a free trial, just pay shipping. I ordered the free trial on 3/5/18. On 3/22/18, I noticed a charge to my account and called the 800 number attached to the charge. I received a representative who cancelled my account after trying to push a membership on me. I asked if that would include the refund for the charge I found on my account today. I was then informed that no refund was possible because I did not return the product within 14 days. When I stated the advertising was misleading and no information came with the product detailing any further charges, I was told nothing was sent on paper with the product but it was in the fine print when I originally ordered the product. I again stated this was misleading and was told that there was no possibility for a refund.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund and for this company to be more forthcoming in advertising so others don't experience this. This is shady to say the least.

After reviewing Ms. complaint, we'd like to apologize for the misunderstanding. Because we do not offer sample sizes, we sent Ms. a full 30 day supply. We allow you to try our product for just the cost of shipping and handling for 14 days. Once your trial period expires, you are billed the full retail price of the product. Our records indicate Ms. called in and cancelled her account on 3/22, two days after her trial period expires. Review of Skin Scientific
I accepted the free products advertised that all I had to do was to pay for shipments. Unfortunately, I was charged full price and then I was signed up on a monthly subscription without my knowledge. I called the company and was told that the matter will be taken to the higher ups and that I should call 2 days later. When I called again, the man who assisted me said that he could see my information, but that he doesn't see any transactions. I asked him how they have my information. He told me that I started to fill out an order form on an advertised Trump offer that I didn't finish. That was how the company got my information. I do remember filling out an order for a collectible false dollar bill with Trump's picture on it, but changed my mind and didn't order. Anyhow, I said to the man, "I thought you said this is a skin product company?" He said that they also offer other products. He asked me if I received the products, I said, "yes, the products' name is Nouveau." He told me that they handle do handle Nouveau's customer service, but that I still have to call the company directly before he could help me with Nouveau's issues. He also said that, perhaps, he would still be the one to answer it when I call Nouveau. I asked him for Nouveau's phone number, which he gave me. When I got off the phone, I looked at the phone he gave me, and it's the same number I dialed to call Skin Scientific. So, I entered the same number. A woman answered me this time. I explained to her the reason I was calling. She told me that the other person told me to call my credit card to resolve the issue. I told her that's not what he told me. I also told her that the other person told me that they handle Nouveau's customer service. She denied it, saying that they do not. That they only handle Skin Scientific products. I said that the PO box on my package is of Skin Scientific, even though the products say Nouveau. She still insisted that they do not handle Nouveau. When she said that, I have a strong feeling that this company is just a front for illegal business dealings. How would she and the other person say different things. I hope that the local government will investigate this company for its shady business dealings and practices.

I ordered the product on 1/16 believing that it was a trial sample. I had 14 days to cancel before it was considered a subscription. I called on 1/30 (14 days) because I had not even received my products and I wanted to cancel. I was assured that it was cancelled and that my account would not be charged. Low and behold, I look on my bank account 2 days later and a charge of $89.92 was on my account. When I called to complain, I was told that I had to call WITHIN 14 days to cancel not on the 14th day. REALLY? SCAM. They won't refund the money that they took from account.

To Whom This May Concern,
We have reviewed Mr. *** complaint regarding her account with us. She ordered a full 30 day supply of Skin Scientific skin cream on January 16, 2018. We do not offer sample sizes. We sent her a full size bottle to try for the 14 day trial period to see if he liked it, for just the cost of shipping and handling on a subscription basis.

Our records indicate Mrs. contacted our customer service on January 30, 2018 and requested for her account to be canceled. Her account was canceled at this time and no refund request was made by the customer. Customer service spoke with Mrs. again on February 1, 2018 and was offered a 50% refund. She accepted this refund of $44.96.

We take pride in ensuring our customer's satisfaction and as a testament to this we have issued Mrs. the additional 50% of the charge remaining on her account in the amount of $44.96. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We hope this resolves Mrs. concerns and are available at 844-238-3073 for any further questions.

These companies are running a scam. No where did I see that I was signing up for more products.
1/25/18 I noticed charges from 2 companies Skin Solutions and Forecream I had never heard of on my card for a total of $180.00 I called and was told they could not refund my money as it was outside of my trial dates. I just received the samples last week. This is a scam and all I want is my money refunded. My hope is that my bank can stop these payments.

Desired Outcome

If this is true they need to make sure people are aware of the continuing charges. These companies are running a scam and hoping people don't notice the charges.

Very shocked when I opened my bank account today to see that I was charged $90 for a skin cream and $90 for an eye cream!!!!! When I read the information, I was under the impression I would be receiving a SAMPLE and that I would be paying the shipping of $5 for the skin cream and $5 for the eye cream. Low & behold my astonishment when I see the amount charged!!! I called to find out what was happening and was explained what the product does (yeah I know, I ordered it) and then offered several options to purchase more. Finally was told I had signed up for a SUBSCRIPTION!! Which I never agreed to. Very disappointing to learn that this is how business is done. Even more disheartening to know that I'm out $200 for products that I truly don't think are worth it. Even more so, the fact that the advertisement for these products used the TV show Shark Tank to promote.....not sure that the TV show would considering this market sham a positive.

I ordered the 'trial' for only shipping costs 4 days ago and received today. After reading the reviews and the fine print, I realized what I was in for and the charges that were coming. I am pleased (so far) to say after calling twice, I was able to be helped by someone in customer service named Sheena, ID 044 who helped me with cancelling any and all future product and membership very quickly. I am out the shipping cost of $9.99 and not able to return the 2 samples I received, but that is ok as long as I receive nothing else with no other charges. If this is the case, I have to give the company a positive experience because misleading ads do exist out there and I know you have to read the fine print for all of them in the future. Or just know to never order straight off pop up and facebook ads!

Scammed by Skin Scientific
On 12/6 I ordered the "free trial" of eye cream and paid the $4.99 shipping cost just like everyone else that has submitted a complaint with the Revdex.com. I was charged twice within 2 days in the amounts of $89.65 and $98.40. I have called Skin Scientific and will not refund my money when I did not authorize these charges. They hung up on me repeatedly. I am a single mother with 2 children and I would have never ever placed this order if I knew this would happen. I am needing these funds refunded to me asap! I do not know what else to do and hope you can help resolve this issue. Thank you so much!

Desired Outcome

I am seeking full refund to my bank account immediately for the charges of $89.65 & $98.40.

My charge card billed for products that were never authorized.
In November, 2017, I completed an offer for free products from Skin Scientific for the price of shipping and handling. No where did it indicate this was a trial for 14 days and then would have to cancel. I am very careful about ordering things like this on the internet, but this seemed to be legitimate. However, I should have checked further because this company is far from legit. I received my first "FREE" product, and then in December received another box. Nothing is in the box to indicate this was charged to my account. When I realized my card had been charged $94.91 and $94.85 on 12/19 and 12/20, I called the number. The customer service rep Agent ID#134, tried to give me 35% off on future orders. I explained I had not even used this product, and sure did not want anymore at this price. She then said she could give me 50% off. I again said NO, I just want to send the product back. She said she could give me a credit of 75% on these December charges. When I asked her about other charges, she indicated I had been charged $89.90 and $89.90 on 11/19 and 11/29 and that could not be credited since it had been over 30 days. This is a terrible company. A legitimate company who believes in their product would be glad to give a refund if someone did not want the product. Whoever is in charge of this company needs to take a good look at what they are doing and how they are offering these "FREE" items. They need to make sure the customer is aware of the 14 day trial because I can guarantee, I would NEVER order something like this. It is just too difficult to get them stopped. The customer rep. finally gave me 75% off of my December order; however would not do anything with the November charge of $179.82. I will be happy to send both boxes of product back if I could get my full refund for both months!

Desired Outcome

Full refund of charges to my credit card instead of only the 75% they offered me for the December charges. I would be more than happy to ship the two boxes of product back to them.

Unscrupulous advertising
I ordered a "free" sample, costing $5.00. The next morning, after considering that I have sensitive skin, I thought better of it and called to cancel my order. When I spoke to them, they told me that the order had already been sent, so I couldn't cancel my order. A few weeks later, my credit card was charged $89.92. I called and the rep (Amy, who was EXTREMELY rude to me throughout the call)told me that I did not cancel the order. Interesting in that she could state all the stats to me, i.e., the day the sample was sent, arrived, etc., but they had no record of me calling in the day after ordering it to cancel it...which as mentioned above, they told me I could not cancel. The rude rep eventually offered me a 75% credit on my charge, which I accepted. This business is a scam in every way.

Desired Outcome

I now see several other complaints on the Revdex.com for Skin Scientific. I do hope Revdex.com can exert pressure on them to stop their unscrupulous business practices.

We take pride in ensuring our customer's satisfaction and hope she is satisfied with this credit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I received the "free" skin cream and was astounded when my credit card was charged $314. My credit card statement did not arrive until after the 14 day or 30 day return window. I called customer service, and was told if I returned all the items I received, unopened, they would credit my account. I sent everything back, unopened, over month ago. I have not received any credit on my card. I cancelled my account. Today I called and was told my account was cancelled, but there was no record of my previous call and/or return.
My order was *** I am still awaiting my refund.

Very disappointed to see that I was charged the $90 for the cream , never REALIZED I was getting into an auto ship because I never saw or noticed I had 14 days trial from date of order. Cancelled immediately today, too expensive when I can get it elsewhere on line for a lot less if I choose to continue with the cream. Haven't noticed good results in order for me to be a fan. Customer service was pretty prompt about the cancellation of account but did also try to offer various discounts. Shame to do business this way...

Trial of moisturizer and eye serum ordered .. for only s&h of 4.99 each no where did it say I would be automatically charged full price if not called or they would be automatically sent and charged . I READ EVERYTHING THEY SENT TO ASSURE THIS WOULDNT HAPPEN . Then I check my account a couple weeks later and notice TWO charges , one for 89.90 and a second for 89.92 from this company . One of the reviews states she had to cancel her bank card to stop the charges ... I immediatly did this because I could not get hold of the company ..... these charges WERE NOT AUTHORIZED and I would be more than happy to return the merchandise!!!

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company refunded 75% of the price .... I accepted this as I feared I would not get any refunded . They did refund my account but I will be watching my account closely due to the fact I do not trust them. I am very skeptical regarding their explanation. I try to look very closely at all the fine print but I very well may have missed this in this ad ! I'll get my magnifying glass next time . A huge thank you to the Revdex.com ! Your handling this in a timely manner was exceptional !!

I ordered two "free" creams from this company as advertised as long as I paid shipping. No problem, until I checked my account and saw I was charged $90 each. After doing some digging I saw in the email confirmation that there was a 14 day free trial, and it was only free if you cancelled within the 14 days and return the product. I called customer service and got the run around from the agent I talked to. Every option he provided me was "the best he could do," and yet when I told him I would not accept any deals on the product other than a complete refund he came back with the "oh wait, it looks like I can get you such and such discount..." After he exhausted all of his "special offers" for me, he said I could return the product for a full refund, but I would have to pay shipping. Fine. Then he said, "Actually, you don't have to return it. I'll issue the refund right now for you." Ugh. I hate the run around from customer service, and this was one of the most frustrating. If you're in the same boat as I was, stand your ground and keep pressing for a refund. It's a terrible business model. Do not waste your money here.

I wanted to try the product through the "free trial" and "'pay shipping only'" . I honestly cannot recall seeing the automatic monthly sign up that the company's customer service said is agreed to when signing up for the free product offer. My bank called me about "questionable activity" on my card. The bank fraud department actually had the number for this company. I called skin scientific right away. The first call the phone line was impossible to hear or understand what they were saying. I called back a second time and the representative at customer service was rude and argumentative. I have not even tried the product and not sure if I even trust using it now. Shark Tank needs to distance themselves from advertising for this.
