Co. failed to give promised refund; gave excuses promising delivery of refund; for last 2 months will not respond to repeated phone calls & emails.On Jul 15, 2013 our POA contracted with company (hereafter "Skip's") for aquatic weed treatment at [redacted] VA, and paid them the $2600.00 cost by check. In late Aug, when the treatment had still not been applied, we cancelled the contract because it was too late for benefit from treatment. Skip's offered us either refund or hold $$ for next year's treatment. We elected refund. Skip's sent us a refund request document which we signed and returned by email on Sep 19, 2013. After a month, I began calling and emailing [redacted] (Skip's agent) and received vague excuses re their accountant may have slowed the refund processing or [redacted] was on vacation....always with the assurance that the refund would be forthcoming. Since that time, Skip's has ignored NUMEROUS emails and phone messages--messages left on their phones and messages left with the female who answers their office phone. Messages were left for both [redacted] and [redacted] himself. Several times it was clear that [redacted] was at the office but was "busy with a client." To date, our POA has not received any refund nor any response to numerous emails and phone messages. They simply refuse to make contact. The POA's Treasurer, [redacted] has been the person handling this matter from the start on behalf of the POA and has ample documentary evidence of the facts stated above. He may be reached at the POA email address, P.O. Box address, or the phone numbers provided.Desired SettlementWe want our $2600.00 refund without further delay. Further, since the original option promised no increase in price for next summer's treatment if we decided to let them hold onto our money (instead of refund), and since they have held onto our money for such a long time (and put us through so much effort), we want them to give us both the immediate refund AND the promise of no price increase for next summer's treatment. This latter, of course, will make a difference only if we elect to do business with them in the future.Business Response This was sent out not sure what is going on with it but we will get with [redacted] when he get back to work next week. Sorry for the delay and we will give you the same price next year if you decide to do business with our companyConsumer Response It has been 12 days since the company responded to the complaint. We have still not received any refund OR any communication whatsoever from the company. Please do NOT presume this case to be closed because you haven't heard from the complainant. The complainant (me) is still waiting for the promised resolution! It concerns me that you have apparently also informed the company that the case is closed. Not so! Instead, I continue to get NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. Shall I file a new complaint, or will you consider this complaint unresolved? How can this company get away with this?!!
