Skobel's

Review: Skobel's is our go to place for our children's uniforms in Belle Chasse. My children are now in 3rd and 7th grade and have attended Plaquemines parish schools since Kindergarten. We have always purchased all their necessities as far as book bags, shoes, belts, socks, shorts, school logo shirts and sweatshirts, hair accessories etc. We even loved to buy Saints items or Crocs for our kids for summer. We have always been happy until recently. I went into Skobel's and did my usually shopping for back to school items before the start of school. Kids started on August 8,2014, so I went in that August 6th. Everything was fine except for my daughter's brand new sweatshirt. I bought her a brand new sweatshirt and asked for the additional charge to get her name put on the back. She's never had her name before and I was excited to treat her with her name on it like her friends. It would be ready the following day for pick up, the day before school. She wore it to school and when she got off the bus, the sweatshirt's wrist seam completely detached. I brought it back in and their seamstress sewed it back. The following Monday it happened again. Same wrist sleeve, same place. I recommended I get a new sweatshirt thinking maybe it was a bad batch of sweatshirts. Ms. Skobel snapped at me and said " No, you are not getting a new sweatshirt!" Okay I said fix it. Again, that Tuesday afternoon same problem. This time she blamed it on my daughter, and yelled " You are not getting a new one!" I told her it was not about getting a "new" one! It was about getting a good quality sweatshirt so I wouldn't have to come back 4 to 5 times using my kids homework time and gas to keep driving back and forth for their mistakes. I felt very bullied by Ms. Skobel. I guess loyalty means nothing now a days. I have a brand new sweatshirt I bought from her that they have not fixed correctly over and over. I've never been treated so ugly in a customer service setting geared towards children especially. Very disappointing.Desired Settlement: Would love to get my money back so I can buy her another sweatshirt with her name on it that she can actually wear, from another store besides Skobel's. I will return the faulty sweatshirt in return. I just want my daughter to get the best quality like she should have gotten the first time around. She deserves to have a good sweatshirt with her name on it to start her year off right, minus the greed and bad customer service.
