To whom it may concern: Based on the information on the intial write up sheet as well as the technician work order hours was disclosed as diagnostic charges of $157.50, mostly due to the year of the vehicle it is much more difficult to program than the newer versions of technology
Customer was adviced that the process may not be accepted by the existing module Unfortunately he was unable to program the existing unit in the vehicle, we did recommend the replacement of one of the modules that cost roughly $for this vehicleIt was then that the customer told us he had already put a used engine and other used parts in the vehicle For the sake of Customer Satisfaction we are sending the customer a refund of $By accepting and cashing the check we will asume no further liability in the regards to this vin ending in 1J545142. I tried to make a resonable offer at half of hte expense of the ticket but that was not to your satisfaction, just as $35.00 was not agreeable to me. Lance L[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  
That may very well be the company policy, but that was not how it was explained to me.  I just figured that a reputable family owned dealer such as Ron Carter would make a reasonable attempt to satisfy a customer.  It appears that is not the case.
