Review: The letter says a payment was returned. The company tried to claim 166.02 by debit. I was not advised by my bank of any such transition. The lease # is [redacted]. I have no such lease in place.

Some months ago, the credit monitoring service I use reported an enquiry from this company. I immediately called the credit bureaus to inform that I had no dealing with them. I did not know where this came from so I called Northern Leasing in New York who said they had not made any enquiry and I have no account there. This company leases hand-held debit/credit card readers.

No money was taken from my bank account that I am aware of.Desired Settlement: To have my name removed from their record and not to have any further contact. I am not leasing their device, never have. I do not own a business of any sort.

In response to your update, the answer is yes, I did receive a second letter from the same company's Collection Department, again asking for payment. It was sent by mail, and the letter is on paper, just as was the first one.

The 2nd letter was received on Friday Dec [redacted].

I have not written back or phoned the sender. I do not want them to have my phone number.

The letter begins with "Your bank has returned the recent Direct Debit for your Equipment Finance Lease payment, marked Account frozen." However, upon contacting my bank the branch manager assures me that no such transaction took place.

So I am almost concluding that they got me mixed up with someone else.

Again, the only way I have heard of this company was through a credit enquiry made in June, since I have my credit monitored for such things and I receive notifications monthly. I contacted the credit agencies to dispute the enquiry, and it is on record. My credit status therefore is not affected.

At this time, I have not been contacted by NLS Leasing ULC regarding complaint ID [redacted]. However, it is still a little early in the month and I expect to see another invoice with accrued billing (4 months x the monthly rate) this week or next. I have taken no other action since last June when I disputed the credit enquiry made by the company, through [redacted].

None of this has shown up on my credit record or with my bank account so far.

Review: I rented equipment from this company that was supposed to accept credit card payments and scan/deposit checks from mobile locations. The check scanner feature NEVER worked from Day 1. We kept the device as a means of accepting credit cards until it stopped being reliable (fall of 2012) when we changed over to a different company. I called and closed the account with Northern leasing over the phone. Because the payment was an automatic draft, I unknowingly continued paying for the device for over a full year since it was last used used.Toward the end of 2013 I noticed this and asked what I needed to do to permanently discontinue the service. I paid a one-time final payment of $144.78 to close the account with check #[redacted] written on 12/**/2013. I mailed the equipment back to their office, as requested, via courier so I have confirmation that it was delivered.These people continue to send me bills and collection notices every month. I have spoken to the same lady several time ([redacted]) and she is always very polite and assures me that it will get taken care of. Yet the bills keep coming and are growing. She tried to lease new equipment to me multiple times, saying she would erase the bill and give me credit for my troubles. I told her every time that I am not interested in their equipment unless they can provide a reliable check scanning device.These fraudulent charges are affecting my credit rating. I do not owe them anything. I made the final payment requested (even though I had not used their services for over a year) and returned the equipment. I have an appointment with my lawyer to pursue legal charges against them. In the mean time, I want a record of my nightmare relationship with them to be in their Revdex.com file so that others are not subjected to the vile treatment that I have been.My business name is Lone Star Softball, LLC and my Lease Number with them is [redacted]Desired Settlement: At an absolute minimum, I was the balance of $434.84 that have accrued since me closing the account, paying the final balance, and returning the equipment to be eliminated.And I want them to remove my name from their records and never contact me again.If this does not happen immediately, I will be taking them to court to seek this amount, plus every dime I paid since the last time I used their equipment, plus damages to my company's reputation due to these fraudulent charges.
