Review: This dry cleaner ruined 3 pairs of pants and refused to take responsibility or compensate me. The pants were clearly labeled "dry clean only," and cleaner washed them instead, discoloring one pair and shrinking the other two. The cleaner first lied and denied what had happened and then refused to provide compensation, saying they make "no guarantees."Desired Settlement: I would like the cost of cleaning refunded and to be financially compensated for having to replace the pants, which I paid approx $300 for in total.

The complaint filed by the Customer is regarding three (3) articles of clothing. The order in question (Invoice #[redacted]) contains only two (2) articles of clothing. This was not the first time [redacted] as raised a complaint to us. During the time period from November **, 2012 to November **, 2013, [redacted] used our services thirteen (13) times and has complained two (2) times. We have attempted to resolve any satisfaction both times. We believe this complaint is highly suspicious because the number of clothing articles do not match the invoice and the Customer has a history of returning to us and raising issues.

To clarify, this business damaged my clothing on 2 separate occasions. One pair of pants was washed and discolored approx 1 mth prior to me filing a complaint. Even though the business refused to take responsibility or compensate me at that time, I decided to allow the mistake and given them a second chance. The next time it happened (to 2 pairs of pants at once), I decided to file a complaint. To call my complaint "highly suspicious" is ridiculous. The business still has not offered to compensate me for articles of clothing they irreparably damaged.

Firstly, we do appreciate that [redacted] had entrusted us with her business over the past several months. We are very much invested in resolving this issue for the interests of all involved. On our part, we can begin by supplying the following information regarding the complaint and customer’s prior history.

The complaint is regarding the order [redacted] dropped off on 10/**/13, at 12:23 p.m., ticket #[redacted]. She picked it up on 10/**/13, at 1:17 p.m. A few days after [redacted] picked up her order she said that one pair of pants which she said was worth $100 was discolored. We told her that the dry cleaning process does not discolor clothing. She insisted that we pay her $100 for the pants. We then agreed on a second cleaning free of charge which we provided. Our dry cleaning machine does not change the color, shape, or size of the clothing. Any cause for discoloration is rooted from the clothing manufacturing process.

On 9/*/13, at 4:10 p.m., [redacted] came in to note that she was unhappy with a blouse and a pair of pants that had been cleaned a month earlier at our dry cleaners. She complained that these articles of clothing had not been adequately cleaned, so we cleaned them again for no charge, as noted on ticket #[redacted].

On 9/**/13, at 3:22 p.m. she picked up the blouse and pants and took them home.

On 11/*/13, at 7:44 a.m., [redacted] dropped off two pairs of pants and picked them up the same day at 5:27 p.m., as noted on ticket #[redacted].

On 11/*/13, at 7:16 a.m., [redacted] returned with the same two pairs of pants, and she said that they had shrunk by two inches. We explained to her that clothing does not shrink when treated in the dry cleaning equipment. Further, these pants are not made of material that would shrink, even if they had been treated with different cleaning processes. Regardless, we assigned these pants a new ticket #[redacted], and extended the hems as far as the material would allow, for no charge, and have since been waiting for her to pick them up.

These are the details we were able to compile from our ticket records.

Please do let us know if there is any additional information we might supply to help clarify and to resolve this situation.

The bottom line is that this dry cleaner washed and irreparably damaged 3 pairs of pants that were clearly labeled "dry clean only." Each time this happened, they tried to deny/lie about it and did not offer compensation. I attempted resolution by requesting re-cleaning and hem extension, which was acknowledged by both parties as unsuccessful (the discoloration was permanent and the pants had shrunk beyond the possibility of being extended to their original length).

I believe other consumers should know of the risks of taking their "dry clean only" clothes to this cleaner and to be aware of their poor customer service. As the business noted, I have been a good customer to them in the past, but using their service has cost me a loss of $300 in damaged clothes, in addition to wasted dry cleaning charges. If the business is not willing to provide financial compensation, I am not interested in further communication and would like the complaint to stand as "unresolved" on their record.

Review: took my curtain to be dry clean when I pick them up it cost me 68 dollars for curtains I can no longer use the ruined them , they would not refund any money or give me credit toward new curtains. Their was shrinkage and out of shape curtains when I put them up, and the only thing the manager [redacted] could say is take me to small claims court, its sad that people cant fix their mistake when they make them. Where has honesty gone-- out the window-- I guess, I did not bring these curtain in this condition and only wanted them cleaned what I got was a bill for 68 dollars and curtains I cant use, very upset, my question is how many people does this happen to in this place, I cant afford new curtain no more they I can afford small claim court, as a consumer I feel helpless. A winter draft at my windowDesired Settlement: I GAVE SKY CLEANERS A COST OF 600.00 DOLLARS FOR MY 3 WINDOWS THEY ARE FROM [redacted] AND LINED IN THE BACK AND COST ME ALOT OF MONEY .
