off the sash to assist with the window replacement is something you came up with yourself. No window company will ask you to do this if only a window re-glaze will be performed. We did not ask you to remove them from the sash since they got nothing to do with the installation as I wrote above. Moreover they didn't even need to be disassemble from the frame like you did it. In a case wherein we need to gain access to someone's home in order to do a re-glaze when homeowner isn't at home we would have asked him/her to leave the latches UNLOCKED. MI vinyl windows are outside sets that can be re-glazed from outside. What it was re-glazed was at your location was a 3050 MI vinyl sash which measures by companies specification 31 x 27 3/4 is possess a 5527 Low-e film in most occasions. That being said, it was told to your wife that we could do the re-glazed without disturbing the comforts of yourhome and your time.
