Business Response In response to the letter dated 5/19/14 from Tim Rose regarding the passing of his sister Kathleen Rose. On 4/8/14 I contacted Tim Rose as suggested by hospice to notify him what would be required to gain access to his sisters estate as we currently had no record or knowledge of who had power of attorney of her estate or who carried the title of "Next of Kin". Once Tim arrived to Reno he presented me with a copy of Power of Attorney of medical decisions and a copy of his I.D. At this time I told Tim I would have to forward that information on to our legal representation due to the fact the on the date of his sister's death I had 2 unknown females come into our office stating they had power of attorney and wanted to gain access to the apartment which they were not granted. Throughout a 2 week timeframe, I spoke with Tim a total of about 4 times as he had gained access to his sister's apartment through an unknown source. It was believed that he had a key or access to a key from the moment he arrived in Reno. What Tim wanted from our office was a mail key and a Vehicle key that was delivered to our office the day his sister passed. On one occasion Tim came to the office very upset, with another unknown gentleman demanding the keys as it was "obvious" he was the next of kin seeing how he shared the same last name as his sister. Tim threatened to have me arrested for refusing to help him so I dialed 911 from my personal cell phone (Phone records upon request). The deputy informed me that they could not send anyone to help but was willing to speak with Tim directly. Tim received a call from the deputy at which point Tim was informed that he could provide our office with a copy of the death certificate as proof that he was listed as "Next of Kin".Two days later Tim provided the office with the death certificate. This was forwarded to our legal counsel and Tim was then given the requested set of keys. I also gave Tim my personal card with our companies contact information. I hope Tim can understand that our only intention was to protect his sister's estate and proper documentation was required. Any person could have claimed otherwise to hold the title of Next of Kin.
