Skyline Wellness Reviews (%countItem)

This business keeps sending me follow ups to appointments I do not make.
I am concerned about FRAUD!!! and identity theft.
Please make them stop and if they bill me I want them reported.

I received Chiropractic Adjustments by Skyline Wellness for an injury. Prior to my treatments the company filed a claim with my insurance or so I thought and sent me an email confirmation of how many treatments I was approved for an what my co-pay would be. I received treatments and paid my co-pay each visit. A year after the begin of my treatment I received a bill in the mail for charges more than 180 days overdue. Upon contacting Skyline I was told that my insurance rejected the claim and I would need to pay. I had never before received a bill for outstanding charges which was quite surprising. I had never been asked during my office visits to cover the outstanding balance. Upon pursuing this I found out that Skyline made many mistakes and tried to cover them up by providing untruthful information.1 Skyline never filed an authorization with my insurance and since the treatment was more than 180 days they were no longer able to2 They were so far behind on their billi

Skyline Wellness Response

We have discussed the issue with *** both on the phone and via *** as she was not shy to voice her discontent on that platform as well. Let's clarify a couple of points. Number one, our records show that we had sent two statements to her address previously which she never bothered to reply to. ***'s insurance is regulated by a third party which requires the patient to fill in forms to measure her progress. These forms are then submitted for review. After reviewing these forms, the third party, ***, decided that she was no longer making any progress and viewed her care as maintenance care and refused to pay for any further visits. By the time we received ***’s determination, the patient had come for several visits. In the end, the determination of her balance owed was not made by us, it was made by her insurance company. *** was not unaware of her situation as she eventually switched to a membership program called *** in order to decrease the cost of further visits. She did come for several additional visits under that program.
As previously stated, we made attempts at collecting what was owed for visits that were not cover under her plan and prior to her joining ***. We typically work with the patient during that time franc and can do payment plans. We did have a signed agreement from this patient stating that we can charge their credit card for balance owed and rather than sending her to a collection agency, we did go ahead and charge her credit card.
Finally, please understand that due to HIPAA regulations, you may need the direct consent of the patient before publishing this response publicly.
Best regards,
Dr. Wilfried S, D.C
