Skylyr Services

I became a victim of Raviv Fokshner and his company SKYLYR Services. I paid him about 90% of the money and he completed about 60% of the job before he ran away. The quality of his job is terrible. Raviv Fokshner and/or workers damaged areas of my house and dumped illegal garbage on my property. Never use Raviv Fokshner and his company. Use the web to research about Raviv Fokshner and his company. Raviv Fokshner hurt more customers. In addition be aware that Raviv Fokshner does not have license but his business card says that he does.

Skylyr Service was hired to perform construction on the first house we purchased. We hired Skylyr services represented by Raviv F[redacted] (who is the president) on March [redacted]. We provided him with a $10,000 deposit which was cashed on March [redacted]. Through the month of March we reached out to Mr. F[redacted] but never received any concrete replies nor did we receive a start date. As of March [redacted] Mr. F[redacted] of Skylyr Services stopped responding to us. As of that date we stopped contacting Skylyr services. We waited until April [redacted] to see if we would hear back from him and we did not. As of April [redacted] we cancelled the contract and requested our money back.
We terminated our contract, as we were entitled to do, on April 16 because we had not received any of the services that were promised in the agreement. For instance:
- There was no communication to us from Skylr services about filing of plans from time of deposit till time of cancellation
- There was no communication to us from Skylr services about start date from time of deposit till time of cancellation
- There was no communication to us from Skylr services about what we need to do from time of deposit till time of cancellation
- No construction or demolition work began and no timeline was given to us
- Text messages were not returned on various occasions
o March [redacted] , Adele sent a text asking what materials we needed to buy and to let Skylr services know we had a meeting with IKEA to discuss the kitchenno response from Skylr Services
o March [redacted] Adele asked for an update. Skylr services responded with I will call you in 30 minutes. There was no follow up call or text from Skylr services.
o March [redacted] Josh asked for an update at 9:40am and 7:30pm but there was no response from Skylr Services
o March [redacted] Adele informed Skylr services that we had canceled our appointment with IKEA due to lack of response from Skylr services
o We did not speak with Skylr services again until time of cancellation on April [redacted]
Since April ** - - nearly 5 months - - we tried to get our deposit back. Skylyr services made various representations to me that my deposit will be returned. Unfortuantely not one promise has come to fruition.
Raviv was taken to small claims court after not complying to his fully signed and notarized agreement mediated and supported by consumer affairs. His license was revoked on December **, 2013 and a judgment was made against him in court on November **, 2014 awarding us all of our money back. The judge even felt it necessary to add interest which we were not seeking originally. As of today, 12/**/2015 our payment has not arrived. For years, Raviv has held our money and has made every effort to keep as much of it as possible.
