On 9/5/17 I purchased a 2011 Toyota Camry from Skyway Motors on North Florida Ave in Tampa, FL. The mileage on the car was over 214,600 & priced at $4,999.00 They had no car fax report available either. I did research after buying the car & they sold the car for much more than the Kelly Blue Book value!! My down payment was a total of $2,000. I was working with a guy by the name of Tim & a lady by the name of Cindy. Tim told me I have to bring the car back so they could put a gps on the car & I would be the person paying for the feature. Never heard of a customer coming out of pocket to put a God on a car being financed. Within 2-3 weeks of having the car the AC wasn't working properly so I advised them of the issue & they told me to bring in the car. The first time I brought it in they told me they knew what the issue was & what they'll have to do is put dye in the AC to see where the "leak" is. So basically they knew there was an issue with the AC & still sold the car to me on top of that the car was also pulling so I had to get an alignment as well. After putting dye in the AC they told me to bring the car back once it stops blowing cold & they can see where the leak is. I brought the car back to them again & they did the same thing again, & told me to bring the car back again. This process happened 8-10 times over the past few weeks. I was driving with a newborn baby in a HOT car from Riverview to Tampa all those times & the AC was never fixed but they made sure to inquire about my payments! Also my temporary paper tag had expired & I never received a call from them about my getting my new tag. I was riding around with an expired tag due to the fact that they failed to go to the DMV to get my tag! If I wasn't paying attention and if I didn't call them I would have been riding around on an expired tag for a while!! I've been making my payments since the time I got my car. About 2 weeks ago they told me to bring the car back again for the same AC issue & this time around I saw a guy there that I've never seen before. He told me that they would need the car for a few hours to fix the issue. I left the car with them & he called me to tell me I have to bring the car back yet again. At this point I was extremely frustrated & very upset because I felt like they were playing games with me & they were very aware that I have a newborn child riding in a hot car. The same guy, who is the "father" of the man Junior who originally told me that he would fix the AC with no problem, told me that the car needed a condenser & that it would take 5 hours to replace a simple condenser! He also asked me to pay $250 for the AC to be fixed! This guy was not present or anywhere in the office when I purchased my car, neither was he present when I made all those blank trips back & forth to bring the car for them to constantly tell me to bring the car back. The same guy (the father) was very nonchalant about what I explained to him about the initial verbal agreement his son & I had. On 12/11/17 I got home & the doorbell rang. To my surprise Skyway Motors sent 2 men in a regular car to come repo my car due to ONE payment that was not made. The repo man said to me verbatim "I'm here to pick up your car & they are going to fix the AC for you". As I started taking all my things out he stopped me & said "you don't have to take everything out, you are getting your car back, they are going to work with you". They did not have a tow truck present but instead demanded the car key from me. The following day my brother in law went in the office & Cindy advised him that all I had to do was make my 1 payment of $158 & I would get the car back. The following day we were on our way to get the car & the "father" called to tell me I have to pay the balance of $4,886 in order to get the car. The balance he quoted is way over the amount I have left to pay! He then stated he put my stuff in a trash bag for pickup! Why put a customer's belongings in a trash bag instead of waiting for them to come & get it out of the car themselves?! Their contract seems to be very fraudulent & they are a very unorganized family owned dealership!! One person would tell you one thing & then someone would turn around & tell you something completely different!!! Due to all the issues I've encountered with them I've had several anxiety attacks while all these things took place! There are bad reviews on google about this car lot & they need to be investigated. I've invested $3,000 into that car over the last 3 months & I'm not going to allow them to just take my hard working money. I am now out of a car & $3,000. I have a newborn baby that depends on me I cannot be without a car! This situation has drained me & something needs to be done asap

Customer purchased a used vehicle from us, as is with no warranty on 9/5/17.

The customer signed a simple interest retail installment contract from us which stated when her payments were due as well as the terms and conditions of the contract (including the repossession and return of the vehicle to you once we repossed a vehicle details)

The vehicle registration and application for certificate of title were completed on 10/5/17.

The customer was not on time with multiple payments, had a conversation with us stating that she was not going to be paying us for the vehicle, so we picked up/repossessed the vehicle due to the process as outlined in the contract.

In regards to our bad reviews on google, unfortunately when we have to repossess a vehicle for no payments customers are usually unhappy and or irrate.
