Slate and Tell Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased a ring set on 5/15 and was told I would receive the item within 14 days. When I item had not shipped in that time I contacting to company and they said they were behind on production and that it would ship priority mail with a week. It has been over that time and the item still has not been shipped. I have now tried to contact the company in several ways to see what is taking so long and have not received any word. I am getting frustrated with the lack of communication and the fact that even tho my account was charged it has been almost a month and I still have not received the product. It was a gift that I can’t even give but I am still out the money.

Hi ***, I have reviewed our email contacts with you. Our most recent emails do not appear to have been answered.

We show that you order was delivered on Monday June 17th via DHL.
Let us know if the rings you have received are to your liking.

If I could have listed all of the above on the primary nature of complaint, I would have. The shipping method on the order states it will arrive in two weeks. I ordered on 5/12/19. I have called several times to try to get product shipped and I am told it will ship in a few days and doesn’t. I’ve also tried contacting them through the Instagram page and comments are deleted. Now when trying to call I get a generic voicemail that is never returned. I can’t seem to get a refund for the rings that were purchased. According to their Facebook and Instagram, hundreds of people are having this same issue. However their comments are being deleted.

I fiancé ordered me rings as a gift. During checkout it stated they would be here in 2 weeks. I received so much run around from the company as to when they would actually ship. I called and emailed multiple times and the date kept getting pushed our week after week. Eventually I asked to cancel my order and the “supervisor” said “okay fine. Have a good day. “ Slate and Tell had the WORST customer service I have ever received. Dealing with them was worse than calling Comcast! I will never order from them again.

On May 5th I purchased a product from them on their website. I’ve contacted them multiple times and was told each time the item would ship soon. The last contact I was told the item would ship the next day and I would receive an email with tracking. That is yet to happen. I’m not sure what else to do. I am out over 100 dollars.

Thank you!

My Order (#***) was placed on May 8th. The company states on their website and when ordering that there is a 12-18 day turn around. It is now 5/31. I have emailed and chatted several times with no response. I was finally able to find a phone number after googling for one. I called and they stated that my order my not be ready until the end of next week. This was a gift. They gave no acknowledgement of the fact that was extremely out of range of their turn around time or that Ive been waiting nearly a month. When trying to chat online it shows people are available but they never chat back. I have emailed at least 5 times. This is worst customer service experience Ive ever had as well as disappointing because it was a gift.

I ordered a ring (the love stack) from slate and tell on may 3 , 2019. The order number is ***. The company did not process the order. I contacted them a few days later and they stated they did process the order. My card was then charged $149 there was suppose to be a sale of 25%off however they charged me the full amount I contacted them for the 25% refund ($37.25) and no one contacted me back. When I look on the website and enter my order number it only ever says processing. I have tried to contact them for a full refund and just cancel my order however they will not write back.

DO NOT BUY and DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!
I came across Slate & Tell from a paid advertisement on Instagram. Before seeing/reading multiple upon multiple of their TERRIBLE reviews online, I mistakenly placed an order myself. Once I checked out I received one confirmation email stating that my order had been confirmed and "WILL ARRIVE 12-14 DAYS." So, the week I was supposed to receive my order...nothing. I then went to politely ask for an update on my order, exchanged a few emails with some person name "Ligia," saying sorry for the delay my order was in process, and that it would definitely be shipping that week. Well five days passed and still nothing, no update, no tracking number. I emailed again stating that it had been a week and there was still ZERO indication that my order was being shipped to me. They replied with the same "sorry for delay," but THEN told me my order was conveniently shipping that day, and gave me a USPS tracking number. Excited, I typed in the # that was given to me into the USPS Tracking locator...and it said that there had actually only been a "label," created THE DAY BEFORE and hadn't actually made it to a shipping facility. If that is the case, and the tracking number was available the day before, then why wasn't I informed of that information? Red Flag. Slate & Tell claims to be affiliated or sells merchandise through Tara & Co. In the confirmation email it states " Thank you for shopping at Tara & Co. This is a confirmation that we have received your order." When I clicked on the link it directed me to a local Tara & Co retailer nearby that has done business with them or has sold their products. So I called them and spoke to the owner/sales manager to ask if there was anything I could do about my order. They were SUPER polite, and gave me all the affirmation I need. That Slate & Tell is a complete joke and they are dropping Slate & Tell altogether. They told me that them, along with their own customers have had nothing but problems. They said that it is poorly managed, never receive orders in a timely manner and has been nothing but a pain for their business. I forwarded all of my order information to them, and they kindly offered to help get my order to me any way they could. This has been one of the biggest headaches, and I purchase from many places where product is hand made/crafted to order. All they have given me along with hundreds of other customers are excuses. This company needs some serious work. They informed me today that apparently my package would SHIP TODAY...but my "expected arrival date," says: N/A.

I placed an order with this company on 12/21/18 with the understanding that my product would be delivered within 3-4 weeks. They are now advertising on their webpage delivery within 2 weeks and I have yet to receive my product from 12/21/18. I have email and sent multiple messages with no updated shipping information. Not only is this false advertising but it is fraud. I paid for my product upfront and have asked for a full refund of $139 without a response.

We apologize for how late our product was delivered. We advertise the delivery window we expect from our courier, but sometimes it takes longer than expected, depending on season and shipping volume. The order was delivered on January 31st 2019. And the total amount of the order is $111.20, as the customer applied for a promotional 20% discount at the time of purchase. The customer is welcome to return the mdse. for a full refund of $111.20.

I placed my order for a Christmas gift at 10:12AM EST on December 14, 2018. The company was still advertising Free Express Shipping and delivery by Christmas on orders placed by 12AM December 15, 2018. I received a phone call from the company on December 20th stating they needed a new address and that my order was going to be shipped overnight via DHL and I would receive it Friday, December 21st. I got on the website's chat feature Friday, December 21st to get a tracking number for my order. It was then I was told that my order didn't ship out and that it would ship out today, December 21st. So then I called customer service and Janet informed me that I would receive it sometime next week. It is highly frustrating to offer and guarantee customers deliveries by a certain date then inform them last minute that they will not receive their orders within the time frame you promised. If you plan on purchasing a gift for someone from this company do not rely on their advertised delivery times. I wonder how many people, including myself, are without gifts to hand to their loved ones from this company this year?

Slate and Tell Response • Jan 07, 2019

Order was canceled over the phone on December 21st. A full refund of $129.00 was processed the same day. The order was ready to ship the same day as well.
