We began the rental process with Copper Beech in November of We were signed with by February This was after several revisions of our lease by Copper Beech They were well aware of our move in date for monthsWe had to pay our rent, security deposit, administrative fee, and renters insurance in advance We had to provide proof that the utilities were in the tenants' name And yet, when we arrived to move in on that date, August 4, 2017,, our unit was not move in ready
In fact, it was nothing short of squalor When we walked up to the unit, we were greeted by a used tampon in the landscaping, a broken railing, a cup of cigarette butts on the porch, Halloween decorations above the door and general filth When we stepped through the door, it was horrifying The carpets were disgusting, there was trash and food scraps scattered everywhere The apartment smelled like cigarettes The beds were broken down and in the middle of the floor One of the toliets was act
