ATTN: Revdex.com/Complaint Number *** Ms*** states she signed the contract on February 10thShe also signed the quote sheet we both provided in our responses on the same date, February 10thBoth the contract and the quote sheet are very clear and state; "Thermo-Snacks are a required part of my program and are an additional cost"In fact these statements both on her quote sheet and contract are underlined and acknowledged (with signatures and initials) by Ms*** multiple timesTo state she this was not communicated to her prior to her second visit and after her enrollment is simply not trueMs*** was provided the information regarding her program requirements prior to enrolling in her program, she also acknowledged our no refund policyShe then visited the center and purchased additional snacks to compliment her programTo say she was not aware and then to purchase additional snacks is inconsistent with her claim. She no longer wants to participate in her program, which is her choice, however, our position stands; no refund will be considered.Sincerely,SlimGenics Advisory Committee

I went to Slim Genics on
February 10, at 10:am for a scheduled appointment and at 11:30am I was still
there while Dave kept talking which I told him I that I had an
appointment and had to leave which he had me sign the contract and pay and
I was asked to come back on Monday February 12th to get my starter
pack and contract On Monday February 12th I went in after
work around 4:30pm I was given my starter pack and "then" was told
that I had to buy additional snacks at a cost, which the snacks were to
snacks per box or bag in bulk would run me $ Which is mandatory
of the program. If you look at the attached Exhibit "B" the
figures on line which starts "Program SFees:" don't even add
up (+ = 793?) Line shows other
amounts which was cut off of your Exhibit "B.” Attached are Exhibit A and B in it
entirety. That shows “Special promotion:
$weeks Subtotal and sales tax $17.89, for a total of ??? If
you take weeks on the program and a week you get a total of
starter pack equals plus the program startup fee does not equal
$793.00. As you can see the waters start
getting muddy in the figures. Does Slim
Genics deal in Ethical business practices?
Then you say, “Slim Genics absolutely stands behind
our program and our products,” so based on that statement alone you should have
no problem refunding my entire bill.

this does not include the purchase of a Starter Pack or Program Set up FeesMs*** scheduled a free consultation to learn more about the SlimGenics program and what it entailsShe scheduled her appointment on Thursday, February 8th to meet with our consultant on Saturday, February at 10:AMDuring this appointment, Ms*** was provided with all the information necessary to make an informed buying decisionIt was thoroughly explained to Ms*** what the program entailed and what additional purchases were required in addition to her the $per week service chargeOnce the program was explained in full detail, a quote (see attached #A) was presented to Ms*** that clearly states what her start up charges would be for her Weight-Loss programSet up Fee $149., Program Weeks at $per week totaling $And a Starter Pack totally $For a Total of $When this price was quoted to Ms***, she only asked about the $Web Discount she was entitled to for scheduling her appointment on lineOur consulted deducted her coupon and adjusted her Total to $At that point, Ms*** signed her quote sheet, acknowledged that additional Thermo-Snacks are a required part of her program and at an additional costShe then paid her $For her start up fee, Service Weeks and Starter Pack and enrolled in the programAt this point, she had no objection to the price and we are confident full disclosure and ethical sales practices took placeYes, Ms*** is correct the Thermo-Snacks are an extra cost which she admits was disclosed to herMs*** was aware of the additional costs she would incur during the duration of the programAs she states, this was communicated to her up front prior to her decision to enrollSlimGenics absolutely stands behind our program and our productsMs*** came to us to lose weight and decided to quit her program after just a few daysWe are committed to her success and have set her up on a nutritional food plan to enable her successIf she participates in her program and follows the direction she is given, we are confident she will lose her weightShe has decided the program will not work for her without participatingThat is her choice, not oursMs*** was aware of our no refund, no exchange policy prior to enrollingShe acknowledged this on her quote sheet (attached) as well as again after enrollment on the attached contract (see attached B)Ms*** made her decision to enroll in her program as well as to purchase nutritional supplements and snacks to compliment her programShe did so after the program was explained to her in full detailWe are confident, Ms*** made an informed buying decision and no refund will be consideredSincerely, SlimGenics Advisory Committee

To The Revdex.com: We are sorry Ms. [redacted] disagrees that she made an informed buying decision. The program was explained to her in full detail during her consultation and prior to signing her contract she acknowledged the price of her program as well as our "all sales are final" policy on the quote sheet (Attached Document). We have also left messages to speak to Ms. [redacted] prior to our last coorespondence to the Revdex.com. Both [redacted] and [redacted] left her messages with no return call. Ms. [redacted] also disagrees with this. We wanted to speak with her because we felt we had reached a resolution and then she filed a Revdex.com complaint the same day. Because of this, we did not move forward processing the refund she agreed to and was told would mail on the 26th of October. Had she not agreed to this; how would she have known it was to be mailed on the 26th? This check has now been processed and was mailed last week. At this time we consider this matter closed. A refund for the product Ms. [redacted] purchased will not be considered. Sincerely, SlimGenics Advisory Committee

I have to disagree with a few of the statements made in the response sent by the business. For example it is stated "we are confident Ms. [redacted] made an informed buying decision and she was made aware and acknowledged our No Refund/No Exchange policy of the products she purchased". How can such confidence be asserted when the credit card payment was made PRIOR TO signing the contract explaining the No Refund/Exchange policy?  "[redacted] did meet with Ms. [redacted] and an agreement was made to refund Ms. [redacted] service fees"- This is not applicable if I am also agreeing to return the products purchased. What good are the products if I am not participating in the program? "The refund is being processed and will be mailed to Ms. [redacted]." - I was told a check would be mailed 10/26. I have not received it.  "If Ms. [redacted] was not satisfied with this resolution, we would like to discuss this with her, however, she has not returned any of our phone calls." I made it clear when I met with [redacted] what my expectations were regarding the refund. I called the same day, and attempted to return the products and get a refund. I was told I had to call corporate, to which the office had no number. I have not had any additional phone calls from the company since [redacted] told me she would be sending me a refund.   "At this time, SlimGenics considers this matter closed and Ms. [redacted] will receive the refund she agreed to."- I did not agree to this refund. Again, I made it clear during my meeting with [redacted] that I expected a full refund. Your company agreed to refund me approximately 33% of what I paid for a product/service that I cannot benefit from. As   A refund of the product she purchased and acknowledged receipt of as well as of our No Refund policy, will not be considered. - You should have your customers review the contract BEFORE you have them pay. This is absolutely misleading the customer.Again, if I had all of the information I have now, I would never have made the decision to sign up with this program.
