[redacted]   Complaint ID: [redacted]   Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].    Slomin’s does understand [redacted]’s concerns over his oil...

deliveries. However we cannot manipulate the amount of gallons taken during a delivery.  Slomin’s agrees with [redacted] that this winter was a mild one but we still experienced very cold days and even more cold nights.  After review of [redacted]’s delivery history and average daily use, although larger than prior deliveries his 4/**/2017 delivery was well within his normal use.  As mentioned in [redacted]’s complaint his deliveries made during the winter months were as follows: 12/**/2016  -  82.4 gallons delivered                                                 25 days later 12/**/2016  -  95.5 gallons delivered                                                 21 days later 1/**/2017  -  86.4 gallons delivered                                                 21 days later 2/**/2017  -  79.8 gallons delivered                                                 24 days later 3/**/2017  -  80.5 gallons delivered 38 days later 4/**/2017  -  133.3 gallons delivered   As shown, the amount of gallons delivered and the days between them average between 3 to 4 gallons per day.  After [redacted]’s 4/**/2017 delivery, his next delivery is expected to be on or around 9/**/2017.  This estimated date can be pushed up or back based on the weather.   Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that are bought to your attention.   As a business that has been around for over ninety years, our main goal is to try and retain customers not intentionally create a situation that would push customers away.   As written above, Slomin’s believes it is evident that there has been no maleficence. If [redacted] is still convinced that Slomin’s is wrong he may contact the Nassau Department of Weights and Measures at ###-###-####. To verify the authenticity of the meters on our trucks, it is required to have them regularly inspected.   Slomin’s has always had a good reputation in the community and would welcome an impartial agency confirming that fact.    If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.   Sincerely,   [redacted] Customer Service Supervisor Slomin’s Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. I will have slomins install a new alarm system and I will pay for the installation I spoke to 2 very nice gentleman and the matter was resolved however I think slomins should make this more clear to there sales men and reps because I was given false information on several occasions.  Also [redacted] should be retrained in public relations because he handled the situation like a true unprofessional  given the nature of this whole situation

[redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted] contacted our office on 10/**/2014...

with interest in heating oil services with Slomin’s.  On 10/**/2014 [redacted] met with Slomin’s consultant [redacted] and signed with him to receive our guaranteed fixed heating oil price of $.3.099 and Slomin’s Econo Pak service plan for $139.00. (Please see attached)  As mentioned in both the guaranteed fixed heating oil price agreement and the Econo Pak service plan, all of customer’s heating oil requirements must be purchased from Slomin’s and is supplied under Slomin’s automatic delivery system.  If any new client decides they prefer not to have automatic deliveries after signing, the agreements can be cancelled within three business days without penalty. Slomin’s automatic delivery system weighs many factors.  Factors include the customer’s prior usage, weather forecast, and the number of delivery vehicles available.  Because [redacted] just began her relationship with Slomin’s October, we do pay extra attention to new accounts as we do not have a complete delivery history to maintain a more accurate delivery schedule. On each delivery our intent is to fill the oil tank when we estimate the customer is at approximately half.  Slomin’s does try to work with its customer who request less frequent deliveries but this can cause larger amounts of oil to be delivered during the winter months.  Slomin’s also allows our customer’s to request a minimum of one hundred and fifty gallons to be delivered if they choose not to have their tank filled.  Doing this can cause deliveries to be made more frequent during the winter months.  Both these options can hinder Slomin’s automatic delivery schedule and customer must mindful of their oil levels.  If they allow themselves to run out of oil they will be responsible for the cost to for service to have the boiler restarted.   Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention and we are open to your suggestion in this matter.  As a full service provider, it is Slomin’s responsibility to ensure that our customers do not run dry and that the heating oil is delivered in the most efficient manner possible.  Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience [redacted] feels we may have caused her.  Unfortunately, should [redacted] decide to cancel her services with Slomin’s at this time she will be subject to an early termination fee of $499.00. If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####. Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted]   Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].   Slomin’s has emailed and mailed [redacted] the necessary...

agreements for the installation of our Medical Alert monitoring receiver with two pendants.  On 4/**/2016 we received the completed medical alert installation agreement but we did not receive the monitoring agreement.  I attempted to contact [redacted] by phone and by email to [redacted] to inform of the need to return the medical alert monitoring agreement but to no avail. Upon receipt of the signed medical alert monitoring agreement, Slomin’s will provide [redacted] with our first available installation date.   If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.   Sincerely,   [redacted] Customer Service Supervisor Slomin’s Inc.

[redacted] feels we may have caused.  [redacted] was a customer with Slomin’s since 2005.  Prior to [redacted] conversation with our representative Sean on 4/**/2016, Slomin’s was not made aware of [redacted]’s intention to cancel his account.    The evening of 1/**/2016 [redacted] contacted our office to discuss fixed heating oil prices.  Slomin’s representative Krystal informed [redacted] of our fixed rates available of $2.099 for a period of twelve months and $1.999 for six months.  [redacted] informed Krystal that he would call our office back again.  There was no communication with [redacted] after 1/**/2016 and his account remained active.  Our credit department representative Danielle, attempted to contact [redacted] the afternoon of 3/**/2016 concerning a past due balance but to no avail. After [redacted] sent in a payment of $189.77 on 4/**/2016 bringing his balance to $2.40, his next delivery was release just as Slomin’s has done in the past.  This is evident by the account log attached to this complaint.    During [redacted] conversation with Sean on 4/**/2016, in an attempt to settle and resolve his complaint amicably, Sean asked that [redacted] send our office a copy of his agreement with his new supplier to justify any possibly discounts to that could be applied to the delivery made on 4/**/2016.  What Slomin’s received was an email that was not found to be sufficient to apply any discounts.    Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention.  However, Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office's intervention.  To resolve [redacted]’s complaint, Slomin’s is willing to adjust his 4/**/2016 delivery to $1.559 per gallon as the ceiling price shown in the email he provided if full payment is received by 6/**/2016.  Upon receipt of $180.84 payment, Slomin’s will remove remaining charges.   If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.   Sincerely   Shaneka O[redacted] Customer Service Supervisor Slomin’s Inc.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

While we appreciate the offer from Slomins to reduce the amount of money it is demanding for a terminated relationship, we would like to ask them to consider a walk-away solution instead. For 19 years Slomins received monthly fees for a system that was non-functioning more than it functioned. Slomins visited less than once a year over all that time. In 2012, their technician indicated he would replace nonworking parts for free, and asked an elderly widow to sign for those parts. Even though the system failed again almost immediately, all payments were still made, on time, month after month, for another three years. Only at this point, after a technician who came in August said again that the equipment was not working and that it "hasn't worked in years," did she say she needs to cancel. This account was paid dutifully for two decades even though, by Slomins' own assessment, the system "hasn't worked in years." To try to hold a customer like this to "termination payments" on a questionable contract is just not right.  Slomins has a top rating from Revdex.com and it seems to us this must mean the company is fair and reasonable in how it treats its customers. In this case, the right result is for Slomins to recognize the service wasn't what it should have been and accept that this longstanding elderly client has the right to terminate after 19 years without trying to squeeze even more money from her. We believe Slomins will do the right thing and look forward to hearing back from them. Thank you.

[redacted]   Complaint ID: [redacted]   Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].   [redacted] signed with Slomin’s for automatic oil...

delivery and our Econo Pak service plan on 10/**/2015.  He received a guaranteed fixed heating oil price of $1.999 for a period of one year or up to 1700 delivered gallons, whichever occurred first.   [redacted]’s Econo Pak service plan reads that it will automatically renew upon its expiration which it did on 10/**/2016 for $249.00 and was paid on 10/**/2016. (See agreements and billing ledger attached) Upon expiration of the fixed price, [redacted]’s agreement states that Slomin’s will continue to make automatic deliveries at the retail heating oil price in effect on the date of delivery.  [redacted] had the option to lock into a new fixed rate at that time or discontinue his services without any penalty.  [redacted] did not contact our office to lock into a new fixed rate nor to cancel his services until 12/**/2016.   Slomin's has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention.  However, Slomin's does not believe it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office intervention. As requested by [redacted] his account has been cancelled since 12/**/2016.  A credit has been issued for the unused portion of his Econo Pak service plan in the amount of $205.01.  Unfortunately Slomin’s cannot adjust [redacted]’s 12/**/2016 delivery to his former rate of $1.999 per gallon. At this time there is a balance of $308.78 that remains due.   If you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.   Sincerely,   Shaneka O[redacted] Customer Service Supervisor Slomin’s Inc.

[redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the unresolved complaint of consumer [redacted].    On 9/**/2014 the [redacted]’s accepted a new fixed price of $3.549 for one year or up to approximately 950 delivered gallons, whichever occurred first.   As the agreement states it is a fixed price and upon expiration of the agreement Slomin’s will continue to make automatic deliveries to the customer’s premises at the retail heating oil price in effect on the date of the delivery but both parties  reserve the right to renegotiate the price based on prevailing market conditions.   During the term of the agreement the price that is agreed upon does not go higher nor lower.   As mentioned in our previous response Slomin’s position remains the same.  Slomin’s is still willing to settle the [redacted]’s obligation for $249.00 if paid by 6/**/2015. If you should have any additional questions, please contact me at ###-###-####. Sincerely, [redacted]Slomin’s Inc.

[redacted] Please accept this notice as Slomin’s response to the complaint of consumer [redacted].   [redacted] signed with Slomin’s on 1/**/2015...

for automatic oil delivery and Slomin’s Econo Pak Service Plan.  Originally the agreement was signed by Photios G[redacted] but unfortunately was turned down for credit reasons.    Under the terms of our agreement with [redacted], all heating oil deliveries were supplied under Slomin’s automatic delivery system.   Slomin’s automatic delivery system weighs many factors which include the customer’s prior usage, weather forecast, and the number of delivery vehicles available.  Because [redacted] just began her relationship with Slomin’s January 2015, we do pay extra attention to new accounts as we do not have a complete delivery history to maintain a more accurate delivery schedule.  As a full service provider, it is Slomin’s responsibility to ensure that our customers do not run dry and that the heating oil is delivered in the most efficient manner possible.   When [redacted] signed with Slomin’s, she was in need of emergency service due to not having any oil in her tank.  Slomin’s technician visited [redacted] home the same day she signed with us on 1/**/2015 to make an emergency oil drop of ten gallons and got her heating unit back running.  The following day on 1[redacted]/2015 Slomin’s made a full delivery of 207 gallons.  [redacted] subsequent deliveries were as follows:                 20 days later on 2/**/2015 – 175.9 gallons                19 days later on 3/**/2015 – 145.5 gallons                45 days later on 4/2*/2015 – 161.9 gallons This winter we experienced some of the harshest and coldest temperatures in recorded history particularly the month of February.  Most home heating oil consumers used substantially more oil this heating season then a typically winter on Long Island.  In comparison to other homes that Slomin’s provides heating oil to in [redacted] area, the average fuel consumption was around the same or even more is some cases.   Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention and we are open to your suggestion in this matter.  However, Slomin’s does not believe it have conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office’s intervention.  Due to unpaid balances [redacted] account has been cancelled and assigned to Allied Account Services for further collection action. If you should have any questions, please contact Allies Account Services at ###-###-####. Sincerely, Shaneka O[redacted]Customer Service SupervisorSlomin’s Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

All of Slomin's comments of response are Fabrications. The conversation with the sales rep named Sean went as followed. He admitted Slomin's had record of my phone call to disconnect on January [redacted] 2016 and that they had also received my disconnection letter coming from my new [redacted].My service was legitimately cancelled by my personal phone call and a letter from my new provider. I as well have a copy of the cancellation letter.technically Slomin's stepping foot on my property without my permission after my contract with them was cancelled is considered trespassing. My contract was cancelled, I did not request a delivery, if this matter is not resolved in the manner I see fit I will move forward with legal representation. Can any auto manufacturer drop off a brand new car in your driveway and force you to take ownership therefore forcing you to pay for a brand new  vehicle without your knowledge or consent? How about [redacted] opens your front door and installed a new washing machine comma can they then horse ownership upon you and force you to pay for the new machine with its install services? How about [redacted]. Can they also walk in my home install a new TV and force me to pay for that TV without my consent or acknowledgement? I canceled my service, I did not request the oil delivery, I am not paying for it.Upon upon completing this form I'm taking this to the next level and asking the public on social media what their opinion of this subject matter is. As well I will be contacting [redacted] news,  I've used him before when I volunteered my services during Hurricane Sandy to help families in need. Bit of a local celebrity

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
When we signed up for this promotion we were told that if the price of oil goes lower we would get the lower price. We know that it was lower because a few hours before they delivered the oil someone from slomins was trying to sell it for $1.89 9... We were also told that we would be able to call for the oil to be delivered. That did not happen.  We were told they deliver it when they want to even if we did not need the oil.     We were lied to on several account - the sales man said one thing and they did something totally different. We will never work with this company again and every one I know and so will know about these practices so they do not deal with slomins either.[redacted]
