HOAMCO makes an diligent and concerted effort to treat each and every homeowner residing in one of the many HOA's we manage with dignity and respect. At times, despite exhaustive effort on the part of HOAMCO team members, tense situations arise that cannot be diffused. This is the situation with Ms....

Schumacher. HOAMCO is an administrative arm representing the Board of Directors who oversee the management of the community Ms. Schumacher resides in. This community is governed by a set of CC&R's, legal documents that lay out how the community should be run. These CC&R's are very specific about how Board Meetings are to be handled, with order and respect for all in attendance. After repeatedly asking Ms. Schumacher to respect and abide by the CC&R guidelines for Board Meetings in her community and meeting with opposition to those guidelines by Ms. Schumacher, the Board felt it was necessary, for the good of the entire community, to seek a legal opinion about this ongoing behavior. HOAMCO's highest obligation is to guide an HOA Board of Directors in their duties to govern their communities and implement decisions made by the Board of Directors in conjunction with their CC&R's, for the good of the community as a whole. Oftentimes, the preferences of individuals within the community are not able to be accommodated for a variety of reasons and unfortunately this can lead to disagreements between individual homeowners and the Board of Directors. HOAMCO will continue to work with the Board of Directors for Ms. Schumacher's community to enforce the CC&R's that govern this community. We will also continue to treat Ms. Schumacher with the utmost respect, without compromising the legal obligations imposed by this community's governing documents.

I reject this reply from HOAMCO as, in my opinion, untruthful. Regarding my behavior at Board meetings, I have videotape proof of every meeting that I attend, that shows I act in the same way as every other homeowner at the meetings, yet am treated with alleged disrespect - being threatened to be thrown out of the meetings for no apparent reason, when others who speak in the same manner are not given the threat.  The HOAMCO representative has, in our opinion, treated us with disrespect and contempt for many years.  The only reason we can think of why he allegedly does this, is personal dislike of us because we speak up when we see things being run, in our opinion, incorrectly or allegedly dishonestly to the point of being possibly illegal.  We have tried for many years to establish normal communications with HOAMCO, yet mostly any communication or request that is normal and fair in regards to community issues is seemingly ignored, with no reply given, or not a "real" answer given to the question asked, when we receive reply at all.   We PAY for the services of HOAMCO.  We expect those services will be delivered on time and with respect.  For the MOST part, they have not been, in our opinion.  And just to let you know, we have another home, which is also part of another HOA in Arizona.  THAT HOA's management company is easy to work with, always gets back to us promptly, and is run in a fair, professional manner.  So we KNOW the difference between the treatment we're getting from HOAMCO, (allegedly bad), and a good, professionally run management company.
