Review: I was billed $1600 by Slusher Plumbing for work by their Susanville office involving a broken water line located at a mobile home park I own at [redacted]. The water line had been previously uncovered at the leak site by a handyman. The responding Slusher Plumbing crew was unprepared to fix the break and wasted several hours going back for parts and trying to figure out what to do. They finally left the job site with the original break unrepaired, an additional break to the water line and two tenants without water. I canceled any further work by Slusher Plumbing and retained another plumber to repair the broken water line. I then was billed $1600. I contacted the business and explained to a person who I was led to believe is the owner why I felt the charge was unreasonable and requested an adjustment. Since I had questioned the validity of the charges, I expected a representative from Slusher to get back to me, but I never received any further communication from Slusher Plumbing, including any past due or delinquent invoices, notice of outstanding debt or notice that the matter would be turned over to collections. I assumed they had accepted the botched job as a business loss. More than a year later, I received notice from a collections business that the outstanding bill plus interest was being claimed by Slusher Plumbing. I have submitted to the collections business a detailed statement of what had transpired and requested a judgment.Desired Settlement: I want Slusher Plumbing to waive the entire amount they claim is due or produce evidence of actual work completed and negotiate a reasonable charge for that work. I also want the referral to [redacted] DBA [redacted]. #[redacted] to be canceled with an affirmation that this matter will not be reflected on my credit record.
