Review: I am writing today because I recieved a bill/fine for $333 from the city of [redacted] for my lawn being uncut and having to be cut by the city. I was told on multiple occasions that this job would be completed by S&M Landscaping.About a month and a half ago I called and spoke to a female at S&M Landscaping who ensured me that the job would be completed the following week. About two weeks later and after I had recieved several letters and calls from the city of [redacted] regarding the lawn, I called S&M to see what was going on. I was told that my lawn had not been cut because it would cost more then normall due to the higher length of grass. I was frustrated that nobody had called to tell me this but I was also told that there was a family emergency so I let it go. After I explained the situation I was again told that it would be taken care of within two to three days.I have been a valued customer of this company for over two years and I have also highly recomended their services to family and business associates in the property management industry.This is completly unacceptable.In response to my emails, S&M wrote back in agreement that I had contacted them over a month ago and that they had agreed to cut my lawn but they made no apologies for failing to complete the job stated that they are not liable for any fines. Until they replied to my email, I had thought that they had also cut the lawn and I had a payment scheduled from my bank for their service. All of these issues are related to poor communication because I could have hired someone else if I had known that there were any issues, instead I was never contacted and I assumed that everything had been completed as agreed.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate it if they would refund the amount of the fine $333 but they have already refused in our email communication. If they are unwilling to offer another reasonable settelment then I hope that this incident will be documented with the Revdex.com for record. If a reasonable settelment cannot be reached then I will also be forwarding this issue to the Maryland Attorney Generals office who can assess penalties/revoke business licenses to operate within the state and my attorney.
