I fell behind on my mortgage loan in December of loss of income due to medical reasonIn June I contact Wells fargo and inform them that my appeal hearing with social security disability was scheduled for Aug 16th and I was told the only thing they can do was to let me speak with home preservation specialist I agree and paperwork was mailed I was deny loan modification because no income for me and low income for my 86yr old motherI mailed payment for $and check was mailed back with a letter stating insufficient amountI then receive from Wells Fargo on August 1st a reinstatement offer for $+ to be paid before September 4th On September 9th I call wells fargo to let them know I was mailing check for $12,and which address to mail payment because of due date and was told because date expired the check would be return I ask to speak with manager to see if they could make any exceptionI was transfer to home reservation manager who told me no offer was mail and the loan at in Foreclosure statue I offer to fax letter, then the letter magically appear in the system with offer end of August 31st again I asked to fax my version of their letter I was then placed on holdAfter an hour and half of speaking with different specialist and getting different informationsI was transferred to foreclosure specialist but to no avail, I heard to same thing over again finally she said she's sending an email to the manager, to asked if they can make any exceptionsI receive a call from Erica in the complaint department, I was told that she would review my case and get back to me by September 23rdHowever to I receive two letter a payoff statement for $199,and another reinstatement quote of $18,due by 10/10/I immediately call wells fargo and was told I request a pay off statementI had two heart, pulmonary embolism and recently had a stroke in March, my chest was throbbing and I felt like I was spinning, I'm in a nightmare and I can not wake up"***" I now have a new specialist because Dennis moved to a different departmentI won my appeal with social security but in order to do another loan modification a need a award letter, which I did not receivedThey refused letter from my disability lawyer and I'm now at a cross roadWells fargo correspondent states call if you need help contact the company but when you do all you get is run around and people with monotone saying your reinstate amount is your in foreclosure and there's nothing we can doThey rather refuse payments and forecloses property and take equity than working with customerShame on wells fargo , worst company everI do not have funds for lawyer and I hope Revdex.com can help me Thanks in advance

Worst company ever!!! They do nothing to "help" their customers and are looking to make your default on your loans Customer Service is enept!!! Do not do business with this company

We have just closed with the Wells Fargo Mortgage experience, so I thought a review might be helpful for othersIt was frustrating to say the least The thirty day closing date was not honored by Wells - a processor was sick for a week and no one else was able to process the loanVarious other reasons for other extensions followedUltimately we needed to receive four extensions - almost three months - we had to pay the seller's mortgage in following months to keep the party on board By the time we got close to our extension expiring after months, Wells third party vendors required further documentation, but would not submit it in time for the verifying party to submit it before expiration, in spite of email and various telephone reminders on the eve of the expiration day After months we were informed that our interest lock expired and would cost us another $I argued that it was Wells Fargo responsibility without success Their loan tracker online process is confusing too say the least: New document requests kept appearing, although the loan officer informed us that all required documentation was completeApparently they have difficulty communicating between various levels, processors, third party vendorsThey have chosen to work with those parties - Wells should fix that process, because it is confusing to receive conflicting information I am done with Wells Fargo Mortgage for future business

I rarely write reviews, but I am writing because I WANT TO DO EVERYTHING I CAN SO THAT ANOTHER PERSON DOESN'T HAVE TO SUFFER WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH with WF mortgage The loan officer was very hard to reach, rarely reply emailEverytime you call, it goes straight to the mailbox, response rate is 50-50, so you are really taking your chance The appraisal fee just changed randomly with about $increaseWe had to send emails before he gave us an answer WF claim that it doesn't have a choice for appraiser We have submitted all documents on time, actually days prior to closingTen days prior to closing, the loan officer, cody [redacted] email us and say the home insurance is still not purchased and we need to send him proof asap or else it may affect our closing dateWhen in fact, it was sent to WF almost weeks prior When calling the loan officer about locking down the rate (within days to closing date), he was looking at a rate for days, which is higherWhen asked to verify, he inisisted that was the correct informationWhen we told him the rate is higher than what WF mortgage website show, he then tell us the correct rate for locking for days When the closing department sent us the closing disclosure and we returned days prior to closing date, we thought everything is in order for us to close on timeHowever, we were wrongOur title company didn't receive any closing documents from WFTitle company, my husband and I all called and emailed the closing department, with no responseWe then received an email from Cody, the loan officer, saying employment verification need to be completed, saying he called on Friday at 5:30pm but no HR personnel answeredThis part does not make any sense as the employment verification has been completed and confirmed by the closing department I can forgive the snail speed response and the mistake about the rateHowever, it is unacceptable to be clueless and create all the unnecessary troubleMissing closing documents lending settlement not completing on time We were considering refinancing our other house after this current one is settle, and now I know which bank I will stay away foreverSo, please, I warn you to stay away from Wells Fargo

Like the other reviews, mine reflects a negative experience with a dishonest and incompetent organization I wasted close to an hour on the phone with a poorly-trained customer service rep Despite my asking repeatedly about service fees, I was put through a lengthy meandering application process I wasn't told about an annual $fee until minutes into the call, at which point I hung up When I filed a complaint on the Wells Fargo (WF) website about this, I was told the matter had been handled "appropriately" In other words, WF condones being duplicitious in the pathetic hope that I'd just accept their fees due to having invested my time already Anytime your inept service rep wastes an hour of a customer's time, you failed If you want to mask such ineptness, you failed again, even bigger

Absolutely awful experience Wells Fargo has missed four closing dates because their "quality department" has continually rejected appraisals, including a report from their own "in house expert appraiser." It has been five weeks of delays, broken promises, assurances and poor communication Whether due to an overzealous compliance department, poor vendor management, or pure incompetence, they have been unable to close our loan They're on appraiser #3, and refuse explain the source of their problems or commit to a deadline

They are the worstTook over my mortgage and hid a missing paymentDefaulted my loans and refused to help even when I was begging to payDon't use the they are crap

I opted for their plan to pay off the principal with weekly funds autodraftedWhen I received my statement the additional funds were listed as "unapplied." The lady on the phone said they wait until they receive the whole payment and the money was in my "unapplied account." I did not know that such accounts existed or that I even had oneI asked her what was meant by waiting for the full payment since I am already paying my monthly noteShe did not have an answerI am guessing that they just hold this until the end of the month to let more interest accrueI had to switch to an additional monthly payment to get this resolved Horrible communication and feel they exhibit a lack of integrity

Wells has become the leading expert on delaying closingsThey always hold back something to make it look like the buyer did not complete something to redirect the blame for their inability to get their *** togetherThese delays cost the sellers interestIf you ever sell make sure you require additional funds per day for delays if your buyer insists on using WellsIt is the WORST mortgage lender in the business!

Wells Fargo charged me $more than the average appraisal cost, telling me they had no choice, they were controlled by the Appraisal Management Company However they have more than one AMC It has now been weeks since I paid that and the appraisal was supposedly done todayfinally The report will not be back until the 27th We were supposed to close on the 20th and I must be out of my house by the 31st I have continually called them today and everyone is blaming someone else I can get no information and no help

I would like to complain about the customer service of Well Fargo Home MortgageI need to transfer a piece of property that is attached to my mortgage and have called and talked to a representative twice and told them my situationI was told by both representatives that an order was made and someone would contact meI just called back this being the 4th business day from my 1st call and talked with someone in customer service and was told it usually takes 7-business days for someone to CALL you backFirst of all I think it's ridiculous that it takes that long for someone just to call you backSecondly, why was I not told this by the first people I talked with that it took 7-days just to get a call backI didn't choose Wells Fargo as my mortgage company, my loan was sold to them and I would not recommend them

We are selling our home and the buyer who is a good friend of mine is buying the home and had to use Wells Fargo for her loan! This whole process has been a joke ! She was told days no problem we will close and we based closing on our home we were buying based on what the lender had told us and now if we don't close today on the home we are selling we lose the home we were buying! So as of tomorrow we will be homeless! Every time the buyer was asked to produce a document she did so the same day within hours of being asked! The lenders and processors have lost documents over and over and she immediately produces them! Also no one will respond to any of us especially the buyer ! We call we email we text and nothing! They just don't care!!! Wells Fargo is not who they used to be anymore! I have read reviews and all match our experience! If something doesn't change I cannot for see good things for this company no matter how big they are! So basically we will be homeless as of tomoro

My husband and I have had unbelievablely terrible experience with Wells Fargo Home MortgageWe selected Wells Fargo for a refinance because they held our existing mortgage and we thought the process would be easier, it's been anything but easier! We started the process in April and finally cancelled the whole effort todayWe have excellent credit, no other debts and a home with more equity that the loan we were trying to closeWe've been treated like outsiders with no existing credit or track recordWe provided multiple copies of the required docuements even though we felt Wells Fargo should have some of that on file since we are an existing customerWe provided every document requested by by May 4th and yet into July there was still no closureEvery time we talked to someone there was a long list of excuses and problems with this or that and a "I passed it on so it's not my problem" attitudeWells Fargo is the ultimate example of a giant company that treats customers like numbers with no personal service and less than competent staffWe wasted an unbelieveable amount of time and money with nothing to show for it but grief

I called Wells Fargo a month ago to set up an escrow account and have been waiting for the paperwork they said was on the way (7-10 business days). After calling them again today, I was told it would be another 7-10 business days. The problem I have is that my first mortgage payment is due before that. Terrible service!

Currently Wells Fargo has the mortgage on my home. I wanted to refinance and thought I would use the Wells Fargo online system for this transaction. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE. It has been one delay after another. I people are from different states. AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO. Most mortgage companies have greater than 3 star ratings. WELLS FARGO is at 2 1/2 stars.
Let this be an example.

The mortgage team is inefficient and pathetic. I submitted my loan application to them.
They hit my credit without my consent and then later sent me the form to sign.
It took them 2-3 months to take the loan to close state...by that time, they were totally silent. No activity....Finally, in frustration, I cancelled the loan.
They are shameless...they didn't even felt sorry...
I don't recommend them ever. Even I am closing my bank account with them.

Don't do it! The brokers are based out of New York, not your local branch. These are the same crooks we just bailed out. The one I talked to flat out lied to me in an attempt to seal the deal. It was the last straw. After several other goofs by my local branch I closed all my accounts and moved to a local bank. Much better!
