I hired Small Movers LLC to move me out of my apartment on October 19. They showed up 3 hours late and in addition to this, their worker damaged my bed by throwing it over a balcony. I immediately contacted the owner and was told by bother she and her husband that my bed would be replaced. I’ve reached out several times in an attempt to get my bed replaced and have been given several different stores. As of November 13, 2019 I still do not have a bed or received a solid plan to replace the one that was damaged.
In our contract, it states that particle boards, fragile, antiques and glass items are not insured. The item that we moved was not an insured item, it was an *** bed made from particle board. The customer wanted us to take it over a balcony banister, which she signed a waiver for before it was moved. The bed weight shifted and the side rail had split. We both called *** for replacement parts, which took 2-4 weeks to be delivered. 2 weeks passed, and the parts were not in. We were not obligated to purchase or replace any of her items per the contract. I went to *** and purchased her a new bed to ensure the customer was taken care of. I delivered it and she was completely satisfied.
