We switched to this company to save money days in they were going to cancel our insurance I contacted my local representative, *** *** and the Insurance Commissioner to get an extension to update the issues for our home owners insurance We complied and sent pictures but the agent never forwarded and a year later they sent us the letter to drop us AGAIN! This time we dropped them and went to Liberty Mutual Insurance, we were with for YEARS and returned to In the meantime we contacted the office by phone and emails over times requesting our cancelation papers and they would not send them We also contacted our bank to let them know that no future billing should come out of our checking account (Waiting to see what happens here) We contacted both the owner and the agent to no availHELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

scam company will not cancel my insurance and keeps billing me

Review: On 3/6/2015 I went to smalls insurance agency to have my car insurance canceled because I felt my new rates were to high. I spoke to [redacted] personally. He assured me that I owe a balance of 114.00 and that my policy would be cancelled. A transaction for 145.00 was already process for my next bill but [redacted] assured me that I would be refunded the excess funds that I paid within ten business days. on April 1 I was sent a message from my bank saying that 600.00 dollars was drawn from my account and I had a negative 300.00 in my account. Upon further investigation I found out that the 600.00 was removed by the insurance that had been canceled the previous month. I made a call to [redacted] to see exactly what was going on. [redacted] fed me a story about it takes 30 days for a cancelation to take place and there is nothing he can so about my over drawn account n the fees along with it because it was not his fault. he called progressive on the other line and said the can refund my money in two weeks but the fees I occurred wasn't his problem and his company will not reimburse me. He became frustrated with my line of questioning as to why if I canceled a month ago and paid off my last bill why am I being charged in a new month. His attitude became very foul and he yelled at me that its not his fault or his problem and its progressive problem and to take it up with then and then he hung up on me. So not only was I not refunded my money from the previous month but my rent and insurance money was taken leaving me not able to pay either bill! I proceeded to call progressive to get to the bottom of things. I Explained the situation and the lady told me there was no cancelation made by [redacted] on the 6th March that is why I was still billed, and he acting canceled it a few minutes after he hung up on me. the progressive representative call the agency on three way but all of a sudden [redacted] was not in the office. The woman at the front desk checked the records and saw that I was in the office on March 6th for a cancelation but could not answer why I was still being charged. the progressive agent told her that [redacted] was clearly in the wrong and because of that progressive has to make me whole. [redacted] clearly lied to me about when my policy was canceled. progressive contacted my bank and explained the situation and the bank was willing to remove my over draft fees. progressive said the could give me a speedy refund but it will still take up to three business days. This set back left me unable to pay my rent on time which cost me another fifty dollars in late fees.Desired Settlement: I ffel I should be made completely whole by having the fifty dollar late fee returned to me

Review: I have had this insurance since June 12, 2007. I have been paying close to 1500 a year for Liability. They told me that because I was paying so much is because I signed up for all these extra policies. I do not make much money and my wife has been suffering from cancer for the last 3 years and I am the only one working. I am at risk of losing my house very month because I am trying to keep up with my mortgage payments. I have these people to show me proof that I agreed to all these extra policies that no one would sign up for unless they had a very nice vehicle. I had a 99 dodge truck that was on its last leg and have since turned it over to a salvage yard. Now my son gave me his 2000 neon and I am still paying 202 a month for just liability. I have no tickets, accidents or anything on my license. These people proceeded to tell me that they can’t locate the document that they say I agreed to all these extra policies and now refuse to refund me the money that they owe me all these years for scamming me. I am a hard working man and I try my best by my family make sure they have food on the table and a roof over their head believe when I say this I would not agree to an extra $975 a year for insurance when all I need was just standard Liability. Please look into this company, it is not just me I have looked up reviews after reviews and there is nothing nice about this company. I take full responsibility for not paying attention and being trust worthy. But I do not deserve to be scammed out of thousands of dollars. Thank YouDesired Settlement: They need to provide me with documentation saying I agreed to extra policies and if they can’t locate that they are responsible for refunding me all the extra money I have paid since June 12, 2007.

As Agent we don't set the rate . The rate are set by the Delaware Insurance Department.
