Ms*** purchased a very specific form of granite from us that somehow became stained in a way we have never encountered beforeDon advised her conventional methods of cleaning the had not worked.It took some investigation to find out that this specific form of granite can in "rare
occasions" stain in this wayTo remedy the issue, we had discovered, it takes a two step process involving several chemical treatments.We are in contact with Kristine are in the process of resolving this issue. I am not trying to harass or strong arm the company. I feel I was unfairly charged a fee of $150 to put shims under my counter. The said it would take hours and took a couple of minutes. I feel the company knows it was unfair to charge this amount of money or threaten to not install the countertop. The company offered a gift certificate to me because they know the charge was unjust. I did not accept the gift certificate because I do not wish to do business with Kenosha and Racine Granite. I also requested a warranty because of the issues we have had. I feel that the company should stand behind its product, but they have not offered any warranty information.I have spent a lot of time trying to rectify this situation and have definitely learned to make all future home improvements with a reputable company.
