I have been shut down as well. I had a tragic family event happen and asked if I could pay the remaining 105.60 friday and was told if I didnt pay by 4 they would shut the car down and reposses the car. I work and have a child. They lie to get you in there even make fake ads on craigslist like they are customers. Staff is rude and all they want is money. I could have took my money else where but they say the report to help your credit which is a load of xxxx my score has not changed at all. They don't care if you lost a child or a family member they dont care about anything but money and they will not work with you. You end up paying 24000 on a car that isnt worth more than 4,000 after they add in all their fees.
I had been shut down 3 days after getting a 2005 was told it was a 2006 got insurance through one of their people as an 06, after paying 10k off and then they shut me down when I'm 700 plus miles out of town on business, they don't call and change my payment dates, I had to call them and then call family to pay them to turn it back on and then they proceed to do it the fallowing two weeks, after that I had to make a forth payment, and they shut the vehicle down in traffic, now I'm stuck over 700 miles away from home and can't go anywhere, jobless because of Smart Auto, I was making $1500 a week after taxes I always bought cars from owners not dealership's this was the biggest bad idea I have ever had, I was trying to build my my credit and was told that buying a car from a lot would be a good way to do it, they never resported any good payments but did when I stopped paying on time, or any right now, I contacted a lawyer and [redacted] to get this fixed.
For anyone who has a job and needs a car go anywhere else, these people are shameless crooks
