November 12,Dear Revdex.com,In response to complaint #*** from *** *** ***Let me start off by saying that these comments were totally unnecessarySmart Build, Inccompleted the project to a satisfactory level for the customer and was paid the balance in full after work was completedGoing
over some key points of the project, *** *** had purchased all the plumbing fixtures (except tub) online before and during the project and had us install them accordinglySome of the products were very hard to install considering the logistics of his bathroom project and were not considered at the time of the purchase due to his lack of knowledge in the construction fieldOne example of the issues was the fact that his floor was over four inches thick of concrete and the Roman style faucet is made for up to just a one-inch floorWith that being said we custom installed the items he purchased to make the customer happy since this was their vision of what they wanted to achieveThere were small punch list items such as a pinhole leak in the heating line and that was taken care of immediately after discovering the issueThe customer also had a re-occurring problem with the shower head leaking water when another fixture ran hot water such as the washerIn an effort to remedy the issue we installed a new shower diverter cartridge that was provided by the customer’s online supplierThis effort did not fix the issueMy plumber is in the process of investigating to see if maybe the cause of the issue is with high water pressure coming in from the main supply to the house and to see if the water is to getting heated too hot from the domestic heating coil thus causing additional pressure from thermal expansionThe original diverter did not do this and we believe that is may have been caused by the new products having different internal components such as rubber discs, etcthat the old fixture did not containWe have made than a good faith effort to resolve any issues with any problems related to the project however in this case it is our professional opinion thus far that it does not relate to anything we have done concerning our quality and scope of workI am perplexed that in his complaint that he stated “that everything was falling apart”This statement is simply not trueMy plumber who has been down multiple times to the job since it’s completion free of charge has stated that the job is in excellent conditionFurthermoreI do not appreciate the statement of *** *** referring that we look like a “bunch ex- convicts just out of jail”This is a very insulting and demeaning statementQuite frankly, it is of my opinion that this is outright slanderI am a Disabled United States War Veteran who served proudly in the *** for eight years (both active and inactive) and was discharged with an honorable dischargeI take pride in all of the work I do for anybody no matter who they are and treat my clients accordinglyThese allegations are disturbing as well as insulting and make good customer/contractor relations almost impossibleIf it is in fact a defect with any of the fixtures installed or any other external issue that is between *** *** and the online supplier/manufacturer not myself nor my subcontractorsWe should not have to expend any more time or money for any issue beyond our control.Sincerely,Michael M.President
