As the customer mentioned We were hired after we agreed verbally to remove existing floor , install laminate floor and complete the missing baseboard in the house, for 2000$And install stones and tiles around the fire place for 200$, (All
materials will be supplied by the costumer) upon agreement, I said that any additional work will be discuss and charged separately
We delivered the laminate and the baseboard with no additional charge
We started the work on March 16th, removed the old carpet form one bedroomAfter removing the carpet we pointed the costumer that the cement floor is cracked and uneven, and offered to apply leveling cement , to avoid bouncing of the floor, that, for an additional charge of 1500$,include materials, she refused to spend more money, and said that it is OK with her, to have a bouncing floorWe have installed the new laminate while trying to reduce the bouncing using underlayment materials(It took us times the time we were supposed to do that work).Although we tried, in two places we couldn't minimal the bouncing and had to use leveling cement, which I purchased for 72$(bags 36$ each).I did not charge her for the additional labor
As per to her request we stared working late every day, because she is working nights and wanted to sleep in
At the last day of our work, March 24th, she told my employee, that she is not going to pay, because it was taking too longWhen I was notified about it, I came to talk to her, she didn't say anything about the quality of the work, and accused us of damages of things that were not related to what we did in the house, and were there before we started the work, like doors that can't close, broken front door, and other scratches on the wallsAt that time I told her, that we will finish the work and if she will not pay, I am going to take any legal action to get my payment
When we finished the work, I send her an invoice for the amount agreed, plus the cost of the leveling cement, and GST as required by law
On March 25th, I called, she didn't pick up, and I left a massage asking her to pay me
At 12:05, she have sent me pictures of errors of our job, and other things that were not related
By 12:09, I offered to send somebody to fix everything to her satisfactionShe refused and said that it is too lateAnd again refused to payAgain I said that I will take any legal action to get my payment
She still did not pay me anythingI am going to continue with any legal aid to get my full payment

We verbally agreed on $which included all the work he mentioned, however, we never discussed any additional workYes he did deliver the base boards and laminate floor with no charge because he offered to do it for freeOn March before they removed the old carpet from one of the bedrooms I offered to buy underlay for three bedrooms because I already had old laminate floor with underlayGil said he didn't know how good my current underlay was, so he wanted to look at it and decide for himselfWhen they removed the carpet and part of the old laminate floor from the hallway, we found out the underlay I had was in very good conditionI asked him again, if I could purchase new underlay for the bedrooms only because the underlay in the hallway was in good conditionGil refused and said that I had already purchased laminate floor with underlay already built in so it should be fine for my floorIn the letter, Gil said I refused to spend more money, but I offered to buy underlay, which they refusedBut I purchased one roll of underlay which they used to level the floor as you can see on the receipt on my previous letterAnd I agreed to purchase two bags of level cement(which I have not paid yet, but I will, just as I told them - 72$)regarding the bouncing floors, I said that my old floor was squeakingwhen I spoke to Gil about my new floors, I mentioned that and he promised me I will not have squeaking and bouncing in my new floors because he does quality workOn Monday the 24th, I told him if I am not going to be satisfied with the work, or if the floors are bouncing and/or squeaking, they will have to come back and fix itI would not pay 5000$ to have a bouncing floor, I wanted the work done properlyHe refused and said he was not going to fix anythingGil mentioned the damaged doors which I never mentioned in my first letterThey put a hole in the door, I will send a picture of itWhen Gils employees were bringing equipment into my apartment, he closed my closet door completely and opened the front doorThe lock from the front door hit the closet door, putting a hole in itI witnessed this but didn't mention it at that moment because I thought he would have fixed itHowever, later *** on the 24th I mentioned the hole and he blamed my children and said they did itthen he said I did not have a door stopper, but as a certified handyman he should know you cannot have a door stopper in this case because then my doors would not be able to open all the waywhen the closet door is partially open, there is no way you could damage it with the front doorwe keep the closet door partially open 100% of the time because our cat's litter box is inside the closetThe quality of the employees work was unprofessionalwhen they finished two bedrooms, I completely cleaned the walls, floors and furniture of dustthen I asked them several times to put on the doors so the dust would not go into the bedrooms but they did not until the next day so I had to rewash the bedrooms againthey wouldn't cover the door frames with plastic covering to protect dust from getting into the roomsI had to put garbage bags on the doors to prevent dust flying into the bedrooms when they were removing carpet from the master bedroomThey did not have a proper vacuum and said they had to use mine if I wanted less dust in my homeOne of the employees removed doorframes and cracked them, and ripped of the drywall and paintI provided pictures in the first letterI witnessed that happeningWhen I asked Gil who would fix this, he said what do I expect, it is a renovation, and what was he to do, paint the whole houseOne of his employees was tearing the underlay from the laminate floor to use to level the floor and when I asked why he was doing this he told me I have enough flooring because I bought extra so it was okayBut in the end, I had to purchase more because they did not have enough laminate floor to complete the job (I provided the receipt for this in the first letter)Everyday I provided hot lunches, tea and coffee for the employeesNow I have repainted the walls and I am sending you my receipt for the paint I purchased on January 28, I have to scrape the cocking off the walls in the hallway, living room, and dining room
I am able to send a copy of my work schedule, which will tell you that on March 16th I was offI traded my shift on the 17th and I worked a night shift on the 18th where I did ask them to come between and amI was supposed to go work the 19th but Gil said if I wanted them to finish the work, I would have to stay homeSo I took work off that day so I could stay home so they could finish their work that dayHowever they did not finish even the third bedroom, and this was the fourth day they had been working on my apartmentGil had told me he would finish two bedrooms in one day, so this was unacceptableHis employees would show up late to work, but not because of my night shifts as I just explainedI made sure I was home and told them to come first thing in the morning, around 8:They would show up around noon and leave at four, except for one day when they showed up at and left at 6:When I asked Gil why his employee was coming so late, (at 4) he told me it was because their previous customer was complaining about the work they had done in her home and demanded that they fix it
