We purchased a vehicle along with a trade in, and this company came and repossed the truck illegally, blocked us in, said we stole the truck, and then don't want to give us our 2000,00.. dollars back for the down payment.

Desired Outcome

Not applicable I want the full amount of the deposit and I also want the gas purchased back from them.

This customer failed to provide the remaining $500, proof of residence, references required, and a title to the trade in vehicle. Then also failed to show up for a scheduled resign to get that information. After making many calls to the customer to get resolved or the car back, we were finally told by one of the customers, that the other had gotten rough with her and had taken off in the vehicle with out his cell phone so she didn't know where he was and we couldn't reach him. After driving by the home many times, we did finally see the two of them and confronted them to bring the car back, they brought the car back begrudgingly. We refunded $1750 of their $2000 and we have a signed document saying if for any reason we do not complete the sale and purchase or if financing is not obtained the customer is responsible for any vehicle damage and the greater of $.30 per mile or $20 per day. The customer had this car for over 20 days. We agreed with them to do $250 rather than a greater amount.

I purchased a 2017 Volvo over the internet. The condition of the body was misrepresented.
During the sales process I communicated with sales person *** via text. I specifically asked about damage scratches or dents. I was sent pictures and told there was only a small crack in the grille and a small scratch which would be touched up. The car actually has a dented hood and a cracked and creased front bumper in addition to the small crack in the grille which was not visible via the photos. I relied upon *** to convey to me the presence and or absence of body defects. *** clearly says in a saved text that there are NO dents. I bought the car and when it arrived the transport company had documented 37 scratches dents or defects on the body. Attached is one of the texts representing the body of the car from ***.

Desired Outcome

I want the repair for the hood damage and the bumper damage to be covered by Lujacks.

I would like to provide a response to this complaint and move it from "unanswered" to "answered."

During the time the complaint was open with the Revdex.com, Mr. also threatened legal action, and We decided to forgo a response on the Revdex.com website until we were able to reach an agreement with Mr.. After consulting with an attorney, Mr. accepted our original good faith offer to resolve his concern. We made a very reasonable offer to resolve each of his concerns in detail and offered financial assistance to cover the cost of these items. We have mailed him a check and he has agreed the solution met his needs. If you need any additional information we are happy to provide it. Thank you.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Purchased a 2018 KIA Nero on May 24th 2018 thru Lujack Kia 3700 N. Harrison St. Davenport Iowa.
The sales person suggested doing a lease for 3 weeks then do a buyout as I was paying cash. He said this would save me $4,000.00 doing it this way. I followed his instructions and did a buyout from Kia on Jun 24th paying cash. Had terrible problem getting title from Kia asked dealership for help and they informed me that I need to contact Kia. I guess once car is bought then you are done with their service. I contacted Kia 12 times by phone, 2 letter to corporate office and still am having trouble getting title cleared from them along with my license plates cleared from them. I have spoke with IL. DMV office as I live in Illinois and they said Kia needs to sign off on plates . I contacted Kia and they said they would get on IL DVM website to download page to sign off on plates. I contacted them 3 more times to get this done with no luck. It seems once you purchase the vehicle then the dealership is no longer interested in helping the customer with any problems they have from the make of your vehicle. The salesman was Jason Murley who was very helpful before we bought car but after not a help at all. The dealership should back what they sell and was told they would at the time of sale but any problem you have seems to be out of their hand with no assistance. I need help to get my title and license plate changed into my name not Kia name and I need their help with the communication to their Kia people thru their dealership to make this happen. *** up to the plate and help the people who bought from you.

Desired Outcome

Help with Kia to get Title and license plate problem solved once and for all.

I apologize, looks like I was using dem in your email rather than dm. Totally my fault, sorry about that. I copied and paisted the email I originally send down below. I officially have the *** Case closed.

I spent time with ***, the Illinois DMV and his salesperson. We were able to prove to the Illinois DMV that the Illinois Department of revenue received and cashed the check for his taxes on his lease shortly after his original purchase in May. The Illinois DMV had previously stated that the Department of Revenue had said that they have never received any tax money on the vin number matching *** car. Once we sent the copy of the cleared check, the Illinois DMV said they would be able to credit him back the money that he spent in taxes on his original lease. We also agreed that since there was likely to be a tax penalty due to the time involved from the State of Illinois that if and when he gets documentation of that penalty to bring to me and I will attempt to work with Kia (since it was Kia that took inordinately long to get the title back to ***) to get that penalty covered by Kia and if for any reason they do not, that we at Lujack's would help take care of that portion of the expense for him.

Thank you

Thank you for responding and following up on my complaint. The manager of Lujack's in Davenport Iowa did meet with us. He was very understanding of our problem and agreed to work with us to get this completed. At this time I do not know how long before the State of Illinois DMV gets with us to get a final readout of cost but Jason from Lujack's agreed to cover the cost. Communication between us, the salesman, the manager, and Kia the company seemed to be the main problem. Left hand sometimes not knowing what right hand is doing. Anyhow I appreciate your assistance. Thank you

Consumer called and said that the complaint was satisfied with the company

I paid Lujack's for a PPI, a PPI that was not thorough and was done to assist the sale of the car that was being purchased from a sister location.
I started my search for an E55 a few weeks ago, I wanted an E55 to replace my 2005 Allroad. While searching online I came across a 2005 e55 from a dealership in Iowa, I'm in Florida. I've seen multiple E55's most were from Brokers or Private party but I wanted to purchase a car from a reputable dealer just in case the car was not what was advertised then I could have a professional conversation with a grownup.

After selecting the car, I asked my salesperson for additional pictures, however, the car was not at the dealer it was at another dealership (Lujack's Luxury Motors in IA) for a front shock, (common with e55's) that made me happy 'one less item to fix'. I asked my sales guy if he could call the dealership and ask if they could perform a PPI while the car was there, minutes later he said they could at a cost of $250 and I said do it.
The next day he sent me the PPI which itemized what was needed (suspension work) and the cost associated ($2.3k) if they were to perform the repairs. Based on the information provided by Lujack's, I made the decision to purchase the car and used the PPI to negotiate a lower price and it worked. I flew to Iowa on Saturday morning and met my sales guy at the airport, we drove to the dealership and there was the Black E55, I drove the car, the car drove well during the test drive. I did notice the issue with the suspension which made me believe they've done a thorough PPI.

On the drive home from IA to FL, I started smelling smoke, I pulled over and noticed that the smoke was coming from the headers and saw that the valve cover was leaking. I continued on and made it home. The following day I noticed drops of oil from underneath the car, I jacked up the car, remove the shield and saw oil dripping from the back of the engine near the transmission. I called a local Mercedes dealer and asked if they performed PPI's, the first one said no but the second one said yes. I made an appointment for the following day, the PPI took around 2 hours and when it was done I was handed $12k estimate for maintenance and major repairs including Rear Main seal and both Valve Cover Gaskets.

Desired Outcome

I would like the car repaired or a buyback, because if they had given me a honest PPI, I would have never purchased this lemon.

we ended up taking the car back and refunding her money way back when to satisfy the situation. This all went on in 2017 so in checking around I didn't have a lot of other details, but the jist of it is we took back the car and refunded the customer their money.
