Review: I gave them my laptop to be looked at for a free estimate. They called the next day and reported that it had water damaged parts. I knew that this was impossible. I requested that they return my laptop immediately. They agreed to return it but did not. When I called back they said they had lost the laptop.Desired Settlement: I would at least like the value of the laptop, $600, and for the prosecution of at least the two men I spoke to, as upon reading reviews, it appears they have done the same things to others.

Review: My computer at my business was not turning on, but I was able to view it on my Team Viewer from my phone. I called Smart PC Repair and [redacted] came to my store on [redacted] He told us that the problem was internally and he needed to take the computer with him. He called us within a couple of hours and explained we had a power surge and the mother board was damaged and we need a new one. It would cost $320 but it would come with a 1 year warranty. The next day he came back with the computer. We paid him the balance in cash. He takes cash only. While he was hooking up the computer the monitor was not turning on. We had to buy a new monitor as well. The next morning, less than 24 hours after he fixed my computer, it would not turn on again. This time I was not able to view it from my Team Viewer. [redacted] came back to the store and told us he had to take the computer again. He calls back that day and says we had another power surge and the hard drive is damaged. We lost data and needs to do a data recovery and replace the hard drive. He said that this is not covered under the warranty. He kept my computer from Monday to Saturday. Finally he comes Saturday and asks for $424 now. He only wants cash. We tried to give him a check or credit card he doesn't take that. My husband explained to him that he doesn't have the cash and we can give him a check. He asks for the computer back and my husband told him no. He called the cops. Cops came and after explaining them the situation they told him that he is an incorporated business and he has to take another form of payment. So he stormed out. He never gave me a detailed receipt. No proof that both those things were damaged. With that being said I still did not feel right about my computer. I had someone else look at. He told me that someone installed a program called WPReconfigure. This program shuts off the computer at a certain time and it cannot be turned backed on. This program does not come in any computer it has to be installed. Also both the hard drive and mother board that we supposedly replaced were models that they don't even make anymore and haven't in a long time.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I feel that the work he did on my computer was not needed. He knew we didnt know about computers and he took advantage of us. He should not be in business. HE IS A SCAM!

Review: On 2/*/14, Smart PC Repair picked up my laptop for repair. We agreed that they would diagnose the problem and fix it if I approved of the work. After a day or two of them "working" on it, they provided me an update but did not give me any estimate on the costs. Without my consent, they "fixed" the alleged problem and subsequently charged me $547 to replace the hard drive and recover the data. While I was not asked permission to do the repairs, I decided to pay them the $547 and I received my laptop back. Two days later, the computer became inoperable so I called them to pick the computer back up to fix it. Against my instructions to give me an estimate before doing any work, they replaced the processor and charged me $212. They said my computer would run like new since they essentially replaced all the major components (the hard drive and the processor). Within a few hours of getting my laptop back for the second time, it again became inoperable. I called them to report the problem and they said they would pick it up for the third time. They never showed. I've called and left them numerous messages sense but they refuse to get back to me or fix the problem. I spent a total of $759 and all I have is a broken laptop. The receipt of the work says that I have a 11 month warranty on the parts and clearly they don't work properly. I don't know if they are scamming me or if they are incompetent but either way they have cheated me and it isn't right.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund on the defective parts, which amounts to a total of $377 ($165 for hard drive and $212 for the processor). I can accept the fact that the labor cost is a lost cause although I would like to recover these cost if possible. I would like them to just fix the computer but now I am worried that if this is the way they do business, what is stopping them from stealing the sensitive financial data that is still on my laptop (if they haven't already when they had the laptop before).

Review: I found this company to fix my computer. they picked it up on october **. I was tricked into giving a 80 deposit which they're now telling me is not refundable. I gave them money and then saw paper they had me sign saying no refunds. that was the first time I knew these guys were frauds. he asked for 65 and I didn't have change so he said give me 80. so, i'm due 15 back no matter what.

next, they told me i'd hear back from them saturday night. nothing. I text them sunday and monday. nothing. I left voicemail monday, nothing. I called private number and they said a technician would call me back later on monday. I said "no thanks".....I want my computer. I don't want to do business with people like you. you can't respond to me and ignore my messages so forget about it. so then they say there is a motherboard issue with my computer and they want lots more money from me. I said i'm not giving you anything, you didn't do any work at all so far. I had asked them transfer files to external hard drive which they didn't do either. so I said when can I get computer and now they won't take my calls, text or emails. they are holding computer hostage until I pay them more money.

I called police and tried to have police report filled out last night. police took their name and number and said they will call these people and get back to me. they said to call back in few more days and I can get real police report but I have to allow more time.Desired Settlement: I want my computer delivered back to me as was originally discussed. I also want back a partial refund as I only agreed to 65 deposit and guy didn't have change so I should have never given 80 bucks to him. they should feel lucky that I let them keep any money since they did nothing at all

I need my [redacted] desktop, my western digital external hard drive and my partial refund of 15-40 back. I don't think they deserve to keep anything but gas money. they did no work, never called me when promised and just unprofessional all the way around.

I think you have wrong phone number and address for them. I don't think they have real address. their phone numbers are ###-###-#### (he is technican who picked up machine)

also you can call their office at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####
