I recently bought a house that had been on the market for a year The house was in very bad shape from the foundation to the roof, and needed lots of work, but it was a great deal A friend just completed a new kitchen and bath with Smart Remodeling and I loved the result so I figured i'll give them a call to check them out I must say from start to finish my project was a breeze***, our project manager was super communicative and always availableI had many other estimates and some were a little cheaper but I just knew that Smart Remodeling was the company I wanted to work withThey were honest, affordable and most important (for me) availableThe best part was not dealing with the city permits at all, they took care of everything for me [redacted] was on the job site managing the crew on almost a daily bases, and when ever he wasn't there, I got updates by phoneI did floors through out, paint and texture through out, brand new kitchen, bathrooms and little detailing all over***, the foreman, was attentive and very pleasant, and cleanI felt more than comfortable leaving them alone in my home I absolutely love the end result, and would recommend Smart Remodeling to my friends and family!

When we first met with a representative from Smart Remodeling we were excited that they could complete our project in a timely manner before our house was scheduled to go on the marketUnfortunately, shortly thereafter that first meeting, things began to go downhill The day before the project was set to begin we drove by the house in the evening and found one of Smart Remodeling's employees stealing our propertyAlthough we had moved out of the house we had left some bikes and snowboards in the back (behind a closed fence) so that we could pick them up later with a moving truckWhen we pulled up we saw a man loading our bikes into the back of his truckHe claimed that he thought it was garbage but that couldn't have been further from the truthWe hired Smart Remodeling to fix up the front of our house- not the back and he must have snooped through our entire property to look for things to take because the house was vacantWhen we called the police and our Smart Remodeling rep the thief quickly returned the stolen propertyHowever, we were never given a discount or anything else for the stress that this incident causedWe were only promised that the thief wouldn't be working on our projectHe might actually still work for the companyWe wanted to go through another company but at this point we were running out of time so we kept them on so that our yard could be fixed up Additionally, we made a verbal agreement for a "Good Neighbor" fence so that the neighboring lot would have an attractive fenceThe fence that was finally completed only looks decent on our side of the propertyThe neighbors are not amused and we now have to pay our handyman to fix the back of the fence to make it look niceThe craftsmanship of the fence is shoddy and it'll probably need to be repaired in a few short years if we don't fix it right nowWhen we called about this issue we were told that we hadn't agreed to a better quality fenceWhy would I agree to a poorly built fence? We also had sod installed on part of our property and they were short over sq/ft so it delayed the project by several daysThis pushed back the rest of our work on the houseI am shocked that this company has such high reviews considering the series of events that we have been subjected to over the past two weeks Go with another company!
I had Smart remodeling and design give me an estimate to replace my windowsI had a positive experience with this companyThey gave me a good price and they did a great job from start to finishEvery thing I needed or was concerned about they were there to take care of and fixThe guy who showed up was [redacted] and he was very niceI will recommend them if you are looking to get a good quality of work
Excellent, professional workmanshipThe Work Was outstandingAbsolutely delighted and would highly recommend to all who would want professional work done in a timely mannerDefinitely will look to have them work on my home again in the futureThank you Smart Remodeling and Design
