Horrible and rude customer service! One of the owners, (yes, owner) greeted me and my husband in the lot, but would only make eye contact with my husband. Everything was directed towards my husband. I asked for a flash light so my husband could look under the vehicle, and the guy asked me why I'd need one. Then my husband had to ask for it, and he and said he didn't have one. He was completely unprepared for a dealership. He responded very nicely to every question my husband asked, even though he was very unknowledgeable in his responses. I asked about a CarFax report and he laughed at me and said they don't make them because the vehicle was older. We called my husband's dealership (he's a mechanic) and were advised of the vehicle's history in seconds. He was so condescending that I was about to just leave, but my husband really wanted the vehicle, so I tolerated the owner. He wouldn't budge with the price (not even a throw-me-a-bone $100), so I said we'd pay cash. He stated that he doesn't make any money off cash, but he does off of financing, so there was no incentive for him to lower the price. Every response out of his mouth was that typical of a dirty/shady saleseman. He screwed up our paperwork so many times that I started just telling him our information as he was writing instead of him trying to read it off of our drivers licenses, and keep getting it wrong. He got mad that I was was doing that and interrupting him, so he told me to leave and "go get some lunch" while he finished up. Worst part was that all of the paperwork that he had to re do, he just tossed in the garbage and didn't even bother to protect our privacy or personal information and shred it. It had our Social Security Numbers, address, driver's license numbers, etc on it. Then, he stopped completing our paperwork to help out a different customer, leaving us to just sit there for a while and not feel like a priority. We will never buy a vehicle from them again, and have made sure that other people are aware of the owner's condescending nature, especially towards women. I prevented at least one other sale from his business since our purchase! His website states that they are accredited by the Revdex.com, and they are not.

Review: We purchased a 2004 Mini Cooper from this dealer. The same day we got it home it started leaking transmission fluid all over our driveway. They did fix this problem. The next week once it got a little warmer out and we put the A/C on, it did not work. I called them back and they basically said so sad and they wouldn't do anything about it. We called our mechanic, who was booked for several weeks before he could see the car and was astonished that Smart Sales didn't even do basic safety checks on the vehicle. He found a couple thousand dollars in repairs that need to be done - radiator core support (now being held up by zip ties); A/C line and hoses; blown speaker; passenger window motor not working, driver side is close to going as well; and a transmission bolt support issue that we still have to have the mechanic look at for further explanation. Bottom line, they lied on the condition report provided when we bought the car.Desired Settlement: I would like to return this vehicle for a full refund or for them to perform all repairs at their costs. This is a complete headache and Smart Sales has been awful to work with.

The customer bought the car on a Saturday afternoon for her teenage son as she mentioned there was a leak & she notified us the following Monday, there were no noticeable leaks when we owned the car however we did fix it since it was mentioned as soon as possible. When she brought the car in for the us to examine the air conditioning we did notice the car seemed to be driven on the rough side by its appearance with multiple parts of the car painted by what seemed to be spray paint & aftermarket high performance parts installed , also there was a previously un noticed crack in the front bumper which happens to be right in front of the A/C condenser line & now leaking Freon. If there mechanic was weeks out being booked its tough to tell how & when the transmission started having problems since it wasn't mention when the car was brought in for the A/C check.
