Got us back up and running in minsVery happy with professional serviceI would recommend SmartCool of Arkansas

Smart cool would not inform me of my service issue in a reasonable time and mislead me as to the causes of delays, stating contradictory facts
Our AC went out in our home about May 2nd, we immediately called our home warranty company, First American Home Warranty, and Smartcool of Arkansas came out on May 3rdThey evaluated things and leftAfter not hearing from them for a week we called them and were told by the receptionist/secretary that no one was available to talk to me and took a message promising that someone would call me backThis message taking and promises of call backs repeated for another week without ever hearing from anyoneSo I called my home warranty company and asked them to put some pressure on Smart Cool of Arkansas
After about days and still no response I called First American and they said they couldn't get anyone from smart cool to call them backAt the end of the 3rd week First American called and said that they had finally gotten a report from Sma

This company is a joke! Had my ac fixed through my warranty and this company was the one sent outI paid with a check may Apparently I had other things come out of my account and didn't realize it and the check didn't go throughI received a letter from a lawyer Jan saying the were going to prosecute me if I didn't pay $plus fees which ended up being $No call, email, anything from them regarding the payment till this letterCalled my warranty company and they never heard anything eitherI always pay my bills and find it ridiculous this company never tried to get in touch just waited almost a year and sent a lawyerWill never use this company again and will tell friends and family the same!!!

There is two technicians named Chris, one of them repaired my AC, it's broken times in a very short time span, he actually showed me very clearly how to temporarily fix it if it breaks againIt broke again, I'll have to get it primed, more complex...but tonight instead of sleeping in degree temp- I can sleep in a cool room because of how he explained the temporary fix, I'm grateful to himI hope his company appreciates him as much as me & my little baby do!! Awesome job

This company is completely dysfunctionalThey were assigned to my work order through my home warranty on a WednesdayWe were told they would contact us to set up an appointment by the end of the following business dayAt pm Friday, when we still had not received a call, we called themThey do not have a call waiting systemThey have a voicemail recording that states they have a high call volume during summerI left a voicemail at pm on Friday and continued to attempt to contact them around thirty more times, also speaking with my warranty, and having them also attempt to contact them with no successIt is now Monday afternoon and there has still been no contact aside from their seemingly unmonitored voicemail boxMy warranty finally assigned a different contractor today after five days of absolute silence from this company0/Hope to never be dropped in this frustrating rabbit hole ever again

Had to use this company as part of a home warrantyCame out Nov here it is Nov and they have yet to submit the paperwork to the warranty company for approval to order the partCalled the company several times and was repeatedly told a manager would call me backStill haven't received a call nor has my issue even began to be resolved

HVAC repair claim has been open since Feb18, this company does not seem interested in timely resolution of claimWill not speak with me either
Claim was opened 2/18, they told me one resolution but blamed the failure of the replacement of the unit on First American warranty companyDuring this time I paid them some odd dollars in out of pocket expense and my family has suffered in the heat for days now

This company seems to be filled with a bunch of incompetent HVAC techniciansAbout weeks ago, my AC went outMy landlord contacted her home warranty company who then assigned smartcool of AR to fix the issueThey came out and noticed a line was cracked and leaked on the Freon out of the systemThey scheduled a day to come back to fix it once the repair gets approved with the warranty companyAnother group of techs came out a few days later to repair the lineThese two put a weld patch on the line then serviced the system and said it was good to goAbout hours later I came home to the AC unit being broken again and a house that was around 85+So the first set of techs came out again and they both agreed that the tech didn't really do a good enough job with the patch and said they will come out on another day yet again to repair patch itAbout a week goes by and the same thing happensA group of techs put a larger patch on it call it good and service it and the same thing happened againI called again and after or days they called again to set up another time to check what went wrongSurprise, same thing, their patch did not holdNow today they came out to finally replace the whole line (not sure if they actually did) and put a new line in place and serviced and called it good to gohours later and the unit is not running againIt's sad to see that a company is made up of individuals that can not do a simple job like a line replacementIf I were to do the same thing in aircraft maintenance I would have been taken off the flight line and removed from any mechanical positionI urge anyone that is thinking of using this company to just look right past them

Business was contacted May 28, by American Home Warranty requesting service on AC unit (visit #- diagnostic)After several phone calls, business returned to install needed partOn this visit (visit #- installation of ordered part), two young men pretended that the part they had was incorrect part (I noted a box with my name on it written in green marker which hadn't been opened on the ground)I also noted, they did not move from looking into the unit, meaning they didn't try to flip the switch or locate the main breaker box to troubleshootI was told their manager "screwed up" for the "second time today" and would have to fix itMy home warranty company has requested requested mutuple times for a report but have yet to receive one

We chose Smart Cool when we rebuilt our home after a fire destroyed oursFrom day one they were professional, on time and gave us a really great priceThis summer while on vacation my daughter called us with a problem with our unitI called Lori and she had some one there quicklyIt was a huge relief especially with us being so far from homeThanks Smart Cool for all you have done and continue to do

Zero starsThis was one of my worst experiences of customer serviceI have an issue with my ductingThe first guy they sent out was a jokeI could tell by the minute phone call before he even showed up that he wasn't trying to crawl under my house and look at my ductingHe gave me several reasons why it "probably" isn't covered by my warranty companyWhen he showed up, he turned the heater on, placed his hand over one of the floor ducts and said " naw there ain't nothing wrong with your ducts"He then proceeded to feed me lines of -- about why my heater isn't good enough or big enough etcWhen I was persistent about my concern of the ducts he replied in a smart tone "well I've been doing heat and air for x amount of years." After about minutes of getting the run around he leftI decided to crawl under there and inspect myselfIt took me about minutes and I found two critical areas of damage to the ductsOne of which was a section that had separated by several feet and was pumping hot air under the house!!! I was irate! I called smart cool and told them about the experienceThey apologized and offered to reschedule ....with the same guy!!! Yea right, why would I want the same sorry worker to come out a second timeHe would clearly be upset about me calling him out and it was already obvious he didn't want to do the jobSo they sent out two other guys the second timeOnly one of which actually went under the houseAnd he only went to the area that I mentioned was damagedUnsatisfied I crawled under the other side (while they are there) and had to point out another area of damaged ductingTheir parting words were, "call us after about a week"Why should I have to call them? I've already expressed the job I want doneNonetheless I didThey said a person would call me in a couple of days to schedule a repairThe call never cameAfter a week I called again and they stated they were "waiting to here from the insurance company"I'm doneThis company is as terrible as all the negative reviews on hereStay away!!!!!

I filed a claim with our home warranty service (First American Home Warranty) on Aug 8, Smartcool of Arkansas was assigned as the contractor They came to our home and diagnosed the problem as the main blower unit The blower is a variable speed X-motor, part number HD52AE After days of not hearing any movement on replacing the motor, we began calling our warranty service and Smartcool Our warranty service stated they did not have the paperwork from Smartcool Smartcool would take a message and inform us someone will call right back We never received a call from Smartcool On Aug 22, my wife and I called Smartcool times Each time, we were told someone would contact us back shortly I specifically requested a timely call back, as all other calls have never been returned
On Aug 23, I called again and spoke with Christine I asked for a supervisor or manager due to not being contacted on previous occasions I was transferred to Lori, whom did not answer the phone and it went to voicemail I did not leave a voicemail, and called the main line back again No one would answer the main line I continued calling the main line for more times, and no one would answer the phone I then used my work phone and called the main line, this time it was answered on the 2nd ring I informed Christine that I have been inconvenienced for the past weeks, and that I wanted to speak with Lori Christine wanted to transfer me, and I told her I wanted her to physically go find Lori and put her on the phone After several minutes, Christine got back on the phone and said Lori was unable to speak with me, but she was able to jot down some notes concerning our situation According to Christine, Lori told her that our part was on backorder for the next 2-weeks, and that it was not their fault it was taking so long
I informed Christine that I had called a local contractor, and the local contractor was able to pick up the same blower motor locally Christine said she did not know how that was possible I ended the call I then called our warranty service They advised me that they still had not received the initial paperwork from Smartcool, and they had, in fact, sent a series of emails requesting the information They placed me on hold and contacted Smartcool, and determined the part number they needed I requested the warranty service to cash out my claim and allow me to dispatch a local company They agreed
I then contacted a local contractor (*** HVAC, Conway AR), and told them the problem with my A/C thirty minutes later, they sent me a picture of the new motor, in the box, and stated they are on the way to my house to install it
Smartcool is completely unprofessional, does not return calls, and fails to provide timely service I have read good reviews on them, but it is always from their "premier customers", and all of the bad complaints I have seen are from home warranty customers Smartcool typically responds to the negative comments, and always blames a vendor I eagerly anticipate the response to this message, and how they may try to twist the facts

Contractor came out at request of home warranty companySenior technician, Chris C., informed us that 'in his professional opinion' we would need to replace the expansion valve and braze a line; however, would not need to replace the evaporator coilHe submitted a report to the HWC noting the coil would need to be replaced and an addition of $of uncovered costsI do not trust this company, as they are not consistent in their communication to customers and what they report to the home warranty companiesWhen I called to ask the technician to return a call to explain the charges to us, the company became unresponsiveIf not for being at the mercy of a home warranty and their 'approved contractors' I would NEVER work with this unreliable company and their dishonest technicians/office staff

I have AMS home insurance and when my a/c went out, as in the fan was blowing but no cold air was coming outA man named Dave came out to fix it and when he showed upI asked him he was going to do any maintenanceHis reply was "No I'm not here for that, I have other jobs to do today." So I just replied that if he saw anything that needed maintenance to please let me knowHe said "Ok" and disappeared to my a/c unit to the other side of my houseHe came back minlater saying that my fan was frozen due to running too low and that he added some freon free of charge to my unitI believed himThen he went on about how I needed a new a/c unit, which is probably kind of true due to it being years oldBut he just told me to run my fan for a couple hours to break off the ice off and it'll all be fineWhich I did that day and night, and my a/c unit continued to go down hill faster than a Jamaican bobsled team in Fast forward to today with my house that has slowly gone to degrees (days)My neighbor came over and told me that there was a very loud screeching noise, a bang, and it stopped and started, from my a/c unit while I was out to dinnerI immediately turned it offI called AMS and they told me, that when they talked to him that he filed in his report that the evapcoil had a leaking onto my fan, which was causing it to freezeWhich he completely failed to tell me the entire time that he was trying to sell me a new a/c unitMaybe if he was honestThis review would be very differentBut he wasn't and now I'm going with a new company and my a/c is worse than before

These guys were awesome! They came and made sure my house was taken care of!

Smartcool of Arkansas really stepped in and did a great jobI scheduled an appointment around am and the problem was fixed before noonThe staff was very friendly and let us know what was going wrongThese guys deserve a chance to earn your business

You could search the world over and never find a more honest or better company than this oneOur heat pump and air went out and they came out the next day told us about our home warranty having an upgrade special they were able to put in a new more efficient unit at an unbelievably low price ,they are the most wonderful company I've ever dealt with! It's so rare to find a company these days that still cares about you this this company does!!!

Horrible customer service. I made an appointment on June 22 for them to come on June 24 to service my disfunctioning HVAC unit. They gave me an estimated time between 1-5 pm. No one showed up nor did anyone call. I called them the following Monday to see what happened. They said the tech said he couldn't reach me(not true...no one tried to contact me) and that they don't come to the home unless they call first. I rescheduled for someone to come that day. And what do you know...techs showed up WITHOUT calling. They diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. That was on June 27th. Today is July 7th. I have been calling every day and leaving several voicemails with no return call advising of the status. I would never recommend them. I would gladly take my business elsewhere if the insurance company I have would allow it (Smart cool s contracted by my home warranty insurance). I called today (July 7th at 11:49 a.m) to get status and was informed that someone was"just about to call me. Why couldn't the appointment be made RIGHT then instead of having to wait for someone else to call me? It is now 1:32 p.m with no call regarding the repair

The most unprofessional HVAC company I have ever contracted. We have had so many issues from rescheduling to property damage it is impossable to express in words. When I asked to speak with the OWNER...WHO HUNG UP ON ME it occured to me that others should know about this! I never write reviews but if I can save anyone from going through what I have with this company it was worth it. AVOID AT ALL COST
