Came in to pick up merchandise I asked for a manager to be at my home so no problems get started they damaged door casings that I had to pay out of my own pocket for damages they made they kept screaming hollering cusing and arguing with me over the phone

Mr ***, was at one time temporarily a customer of my business. He claimed we broke his door frame removing a mattress from his bedroom. As a business owner and in this business for over 16yrs, I have broken things and have always had any nec repairs done. I have pictures he sent me as well as proof of him and his fiancé asking to be customers again in the future. I wouldn’t do business again with someone who broke my home..... at the time we repossessed Mr ***s furniture it was for NON-Payment. He was over 5 wks past due on two items and owed us over $250 in back rent and fees on his merchandise. I’m an unequivocally stating that my employees DID NOT damage that door frame and from the pictures you can tell it was previous damage. Also where the damage was and by what he claimed cause it, soft fabric topping from a mattress will NOT break wood. If he’s claiming $200 in damage from something my team would swear to in a legal affidavit under oath, then I suppose the $250 he didn’t pay for the time he had my merchandise under a signed legal obligation by Mr *** himself is also due. At this point it’s tit for tat. So he can use the $200 from the $250 he claims I owe to pay for his own door that was damaged long before we began business with Travis.

On two occasions my spouse and I purchased furniture from this establishment, paid full price in cash, not monthly or weekly payments. First time, we purchased approx. $15,000.00 in furniture, some pieces came delivered (I was home at time of delivery) broken. I advised the delivery team and the business manager and was promised these items would be re-ordered and delivered once they arrived in store. Items were never delivered after many attempts to get this issue corrected, we gave up. 5 years later we purchased our first home and decided we would give the business a 2nd chance and made the poor decision to fill our new home with furniture from this establishment. They delivered us a broken entertainment system (amazingly I noticed within 24 hours and called the company, and they did re-order the entertainment center and delivered a new one within 2 weeks or so) Also, at the time of purchase we were promised that we would be receiving 5 extra cushions for our couch & love seat & 2 big boxes of stuffing for the back portion/ top portion of the couch and loveseat. So if they were to flatten down the road, we would be able to add more stuffing, as well as if any of cushions were to be damaged we would have back up cushions for replacement. They advised that we would receive the stuffing and extra cushions in approx. 4 weeks via delivery from *** or ***. Never received. We have called the business numerous times, more than 7 times asking for a return call from the manager ***, who was the individual who made the business deal and promise of the replacement cushions, etc. and each time we have been given the run around, they continue to lie to us and tell us that they will re-order or that *** may have mis- spoken, this is what were we told this very morning March 15th 2019 when we made our 7th or 8th phone call to have this issue resolved. This is unacceptable. We expect when a business owner/manager makes a promise of delivery on a purchase that it is honored. Very upset consumer and will be continuing to pursue correction of this matter legally if need be. I will also be picketing outside the location, my right of freedom of speech to advise other potential victims of this scamming company. Dishonest and predatory sales.

First and foremost I’ll respond to the complaint from 12/1018. *** learning the tv stand was broken I immediately ordered a replacement and it was reslivered to her home immediately. So problem solved. As far as the second complaint, her sofa set was discontinued 3 wks after they purchased it and their replacement order of furniture cushions was deleted from the *** system. I placed the order immediately upon their purchase for their cushions. I thought that they had already been sent. Upon speaking to Mr *** in 3/15 and learning there had been no reception of cushions I again reordered the cushions and called and left Mr *** a voicemail with the *** tracking info. They have received them already. ALL OF their complaints have been amended.

I signed a contract to make a certain amount of weekly payment leading up to one year. No that the year is almost arrived, they want me to sign a contract to continue leasing the furniture for another year when in fact, the furniture should be mine.

Secondly, the company charged me hire weekly fees then originally indicated on the contract.

They agreed to resend me the contract in the mail, but instead they sent me a letter for renewal of lease agreement.

After contacting Miss ***, there was a communication error between herself and an employee. I contacted Miss *** and clarified her issues. Her and I have worked together to fix her complaint and to clarify any misundterstandings she may have had and everything seems to have worked itself out.
