SmartSelect Technologies Reviews (%countItem)
If I can give it zero stars I would. *** is the CEO & he starts off with professional verbiage and website and meetings well laid out. Do not just be happy working from home that you don't thoroughly read your contract. First contract was good had some issues working because I'm a caregiver for my mother. He then conjured up a second contract right at the end of my first with different verbiage that portion is my fault. I should've read It thoroughly before signing. The contract stated that upon termination of the SOW the company has up until 90 days to give the last paycheck. So from April 24 to July 24 is 90 days. It is now August 5 and all the calls and all the emails all the *** messages Have not been reply too. There is a breach of contract on his end of giving me my last pay check. He's very young and very petty the whole $369 check for 90 days and then not call or message or anything. During a pandemic everyone needs every dime. It is so inconsiderate of a company to work employee and not pay them. Everyone needs to know Smart select technology may look professional but the action and negative attitude smart mouth and condescending attitude of the CEO *** is not even close to being professional
This company has been the uttermost helpful to my work from home experience! I am so glad I chose this IBO-they have helped me tremendously work from home and be able to take care of my family.
The CEO is very stern and honest, but everything is laid out in front of you and you aren't forced to do anything - You can always say no at anytime.
They also have several communications. They have a slack like environment, emails, tickets, phone, and live chat - it's not hard to reach anybody here at all.
The company sells your email address and doesn't provide an option to opt of out their emails. They scam applicants into thinking its a WFH opp...
I provided my email address in the process of signing up for this company to try and fill out an application for another company using smartselect technologies services on 2/7/2020.
They have been sending me emails about paying money for certifications, background checks and completing orientations for companies I did not apply for even after trying to opt out.
The process of opting out of these emails is hidden, nor do they provide a link in their many emails to opt out.
Opting out also does not work once you finally do it within their CSP portal.
I initially opened a support chat on their site www.smartselect.tech in which they did not respond for over an hour and then promptly ended the chat (02/10/2020).
I sent an email to ***@smartselect.tech asking to have my account deleted and my email removed from all mailing lists. I received a response today from HR (no name provided) at 1:05 PM ET that read:
"At the bottom of the email there is an unsubscribe button. If you clicked it, it removes you from the list."
I responded confirming that wasn't the case, there is no link to opt out. I also asked her if she had even read my email because I had elaborated in that email I have already opted out in the CSP portal.
I have since emailed them again and they are completely ignoring me.
Their whole platform is faking as a work from home support company, posting WFH job opportunities to get poor individuals looking for work to sign up so they can advertise certifications that cost money, background checks that cost money. orientations that cost money and sell your email address to other similar agencies.
I would simply like to never be contacted by this company again. They have already done enough damage by selling my email address, I don't hourly advertisements for certifications I don't need or want.

Hi. Thank you for your email.
The agent who filed the complaint applied on our website which triggers emails to be sent. We only send emails if they input it into our site.
You can see from the attachment she provided that the email was contacting her to provide her steps or see if she was still interested. You can also see the email as well by applying on the company site - https://smartselect.tech/apply-now
I believe this complaint is a employer-employee related complaint as she applied on our website for a job which sent her an email. I did however mark the agents application inactive to ensure she doesn't receive further emails in regards to her interest to work for our company.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In response to the rebuttal made:
Yes, I provided my email.. I stated that in my initial claim; However, the company sends multiple emails daily varying in subject, not just emails asking if I would like to proceed (that was just one of them). Nor did you make it any kind of possible to unsubscribe from these emails...
Not only this but since I attempted to apply for this site, I have had multiple recruiters from different agencies reaching out to me / sending me spam from recruiting companies I have never even heard of, much less applied with or used.
My initial concern of them making it easy to unsubscribe from emails, the amount of emails sent that could be considered spam, and the selling of email addresses to other recruiting companies or any other companies in general has not been resolved as the company made no mention of any of these items.
The CEO also attempted to call me and visited my linked-in page after already sending emails claiming he blocked me from the email server and closing the ticket I created by suggesting that I don't behave as an adult... All of these items of unprofessional behavior and action have also not been addressed. The company is shady and I think this investigation is not complete.
