My money $685 that was transferred to [redacted] disappeared...shows goal was closed. Where did my money go? Not into my [redacted] checking account...

Refused to cancel account after immediate request
I set up a savings account with Smarty Pig as a way to save money via a referralI scheduled my first transaction to take place on May 20thAfter I inputted my banking information I was informed that Smarty Pig would make a deposit and then attempt to immediately withdraw the moneyI checked my bank account and learned that my account was overdrawn, which could mess up the process and end up charging meI immediately contacted Smarty Pig and asked them to hold off on the transaction or cancel my account, which they refused to doI asked, you can't just push a button to cancel it, and they said noThe manager called back and left a message with the same information, they couldn't do itThis makes no sense, as I am sure there have been issues in the past where a customer needed a transaction cancelled and they should be set up to do thisMy bank account will not have sufficient funds by the 11th, which is the day this is schedul

SmartyPig does not take security seriously In order to resolve a problem that I was having getting into my online account, after a few weeks of them not solving the problem, I had to give them the password to my online account No banking institution should put customers in a position of having to give their online password to the customer service representative in order to resolve an issue And then that password was recorded in the phone call! It calls into question what professional practices they have in place when safeguarding people's account security and money The problem turned out to be a software glitch in their system After a few weeks their IT team gave up trying to figure out the problem and just told me to try again, which failed yet again At one point they said it could have been because I didn't capitalize my username, which was bogus Eventually they realized it was a software bug, but only after I had to give my account password to their customer service rep It calls into question how well they test their software, the software that manages people's money

Cyber crime occurs x- But Smartypig/Sallie Mae is only available 9-EST They provide no assistance outside these LIMITED hours
Cyber crime occurs 24x- every bank on the planet knows this But Smartypig/Sallie Mae cannot be bothered to protect or assist their customers unlike ANY bank, Sallie Mae will only assist customres between the limited hours of 9-EST - if crime, fraud, identy theft occurs, time is of the essence, but apparently not to Sallie Mae - they make you wait as long as hours (frm 5pm friday to am Monday)
These terms are unacceptable They should not be allowed to collect consumer deposits unless they offer financial crime assistance CLOSE THEM DOWN

Since Smarty Pig migrated to the new website and new financial support customer service is very poorYou cannot talk to someone directly, you must leave an email or number to be called backWhen I ask about this I am told that it is due to the transitionI would recommend brining in additional service reps, not having to get a phone call back I never had issues with my account prior to the transitionIt also seems to take longer for funds to transfer from your bank account to the smarty pig account and back to your bank accountI do not view the recent transition as favorable as a customerI am looking for a new online funding service
