S.M.B. & Associates Inc.

I had an outstanding debt with Advance America in Phenix City Alabama which went into collections. From what I understand SMB & Associates took over the collections account and collected the funds from my checking account in 2012. In 2013 I got another call from another collections agency stating they were representing Advance America and they never received the funds. I stated that this had been paid through SMB & Associates and I gave them the dates the funds were withdrawn. After two weeks of going back and forth, I assumed it was settled. No I am getting another call from another agency located in DC stating they will be taking me to court. I have tried to contact SMB & Associated several times and I have even tried to email them. I cannot get a response. I have the proof on my bank statements that the funds were withdrawn. I just want to verify that the funds were for Advance America and for them to provide a letter in which this is what they were suppose to do back in 2012 stating this was settled and never did.
