This letter is in response to Complaint ID [redacted] as outlined in your letter dated December 5, 2014, a copy of which is enclosed.The items rented by the customer were scheduled to be picked up on Friday, November 28, 2014. Unfortunately, the...

pick-up was not made as planned and we apologize for not informing the customer in a timely manner. The pick-up was re-scheduled for Monday, December 1, 2014.On December 1, 2014, the driver indicated that a call was placed to the telephone number furnished by the customer shortly before arrival at the pick-up location. The call was not answered. Upon arrival at the pick-up location, the driver rang the doorbell to the residence without a response from anyone inside.
Many of our customers accept a common practice of rental companies to accept delivery and pick-up of rental items to and/or from their yard or porch. The driver and helper checked the rear area of the house to see if the items were left there since there was no response to the telephone call or doorbell. The rental items were located in the rear of the residence and retrieved. The employees wear clothing identifying their association with AAA Party Rentals and travel in trucks showing the name of the business. No other property at the residence was disturbed.
Of course, we want each customer to have a pleasant experience and apologize for any inconvenience.

Rentals offered a refund for the rental charge associated with the tables and chairs that were used inside her home rather than the tent.The complainant then informed us that a small tent was purchased and the tables and related covering were placed under this tent. This statement differs from the complainant's statement as expressed in the letter received from the Revdex.com. Nevertheless, we asked for receipts pertaining to the tent purchase so that we could consider this additional fact in resolving the issue. Review: On October 10. I was referred to the above rental company,although not the [redacted] location but the [redacted] location. I called the [redacted] location and was informed that the product I was looking for was not in stock. I was transferred to the [redacted] location. Although they had the product I was in search of the level of customer service at this location,was extremely unprofessional. I was informed from one of the stores representative that I would need to pay in advance over the phone. On October 10, 2013. I gave my full credit card information to AAA party rental to complete the transaction. Upon completion of the transaction I informed the representative that the order would be picked up on October 11,2013. Upon arrival for pickup on October 11, 2013 I was informed that my transaction had not been completed and additional credit card information was needed . At this time I came to a conclusion that I did not want to continue business with AAA party rental. I ask to speak to a manager. The stores manager came from in the back of the business and begin to curse and use profanity and say ," I would not get a refund, take us to court". By this time I was extremely fearful. I left the business without any merchandise. I checked my banking information and I was informed that AAA party rental made two unauthorized transactions on the credit card, of which I was told they did not have record of.Desired Settlement: This experience has totally inconvenienced my family. I desire that no other consumer has to deal with the lack of human compassion and customer service that I experienced from AAA Party Rental!

This letter is in response to Complaint ID [redacted] as outlined in your letter dated October 28, 2013, a copy of which is enclosed.

The complainant called our [redacted] location on Friday, October 11, 2013 and made a reservation for pick-up for the weekend beginning that day. Her credit card information was obtained as we require at least a $40.00 reservation fee in order to remove the requested items from availability to other potential customers. This reservation fee is applied towards the rental cost. In the case of the complainant, the credit card was not charged at the time of her telephone call and subsequent reservation.

The complainant never physically visited our [redacted] location, but instead her husband arrived at the [redacted] location to pick-up the requested reserved rental items. Since the payment information was never utilized and we do not retain such credit card information, we contacted the complainant to obtain the credit card information. The complainant's credit card was charged for the rental of $36.66 and the required $100.00 security deposit was made as a credit card authorization which puts a hold on the credit cards available credit limit. This hold is for approximately 3-5 business days, depending on the credit card issuing bank. The complainant's husband executed the rental contract as evidence by his signature. He subsequently wanted the credit card authorization to be removed and transferred to another credit card. The manager advised him that the credit card authorization could not be removed by us and could only be removed by the credit card issuing bank.

With the receipt of this news the complainant's husband became verbally abusive to the manager, staff and customers, harassing customers to support his position. He threatened staff with physical harm and threatened to blow up the building. At this point the manager contacted the [redacted] County Police via a call to 911. When the police arrived, the complainant's husband had left the premises. The police received a copy of the executed rental contract. The credit card charge of $36.66 was voided on October 11, 2013.

The complainant states that she reviewed her banking information and found two unauthorized transactions by AAA Party Rentals. This cannot be correct as no charges were made to her credit card. The complainant has not provided documentation of any such alleged unauthorized charges. Attached is a copy of the original credit card charge and subsequent voided transaction.

We are willing to discuss the complainant's concerns regarding credit card charges providing supporting documentation of her claim is provided.

I am rejecting this response because:

Upon me writing this complaint. I had not received any chargebacks to the account of which AAA party rental took the unauthorized deduction. I have read the response in it's intirety and the responded is not being truthful. How can the responded give feedback to an issue of which he was not present? Also in the beginning of his response he eluded my exact complaint which was that I had already given my account information over the phone before I arrived for pick up! The only reason why AAA party rental, were unsuccessful in retrieving the money is because I had to shut down the account alltogether. Also the responded fail to mention that his employee [redacted] was extremely rude and very unprofessional! She called the ** police because I told her that I was'nt comfortable with giving my account information over the phone , then upon me coming to the location to then just do a pick up. All of a sudden they magically did not have that info,and could not find the representitive who retrieve it, when I made the call to this establishestablishment The responded is being very dishonest and only giving a side of the story to which he was not present. I am the one who initiated calling the authorities because I felt at this point I was not comfortable with doing business with the above establishment and I wanted a refund! At this point my money was not refunded or deducted. I am writing this review because I have read other bad reviews about this business. Furthermore I will never ever patronize them or give any referells and or good reveiws. Point blank I was treated less than human and all I wanted was to rent some chairs and tables. Thankfully my event was not ruined from these unprofessional people. I was able to find another company and I was overjoyed with my experience with them! To God Be The Glory!

Review: When we reserved items for our wedding we visited the location in [redacted]. The associate we spoke with assured us that the 6 5' round tables, 4 8' banquet tables, 1 6' banquet table, chairs, and the 9'x12' dance floor would all fit inside of the 20'x30' tent we also rented from this business. After the setup of the tent was complete, we began setting up our tables and chairs and we were not able to fit 2 of the 8'banquet tables, the 6'banquet table, and one of the 5' rounds. This forced us to move part of our party into the house, which was not our plan. When I contacted the business about this order, the General Manager offered no other solution than refunding us one 5' round. We would like to be compensated more appropriately as we incurred additional cost and stress by having to re-configure our set up due to false information and promises made by the business. I find it highly irresponsible of the company to promise that everything they were renting to us (including the dance floor, which MUST be covered by the tent according to their contract) did not fit.Desired Settlement: To be refunded for 1 5'round table, the 5' round table cloth, and a portion of the price of the tent rental. We also would like to be refunded for the 2 8' foot tables that were used, but we're not able to fit into the tent and were forced inside.
