I am rejecting this response because:11-28-17Dear Revdex.com,I am writing you in reference to Smile Dental Care Responce.I disagree with there response. The denture was only upper teeth wich is called a flipper + the cost of it was $338.00. the lab made a mistake twice + instead of making a gold crown, they made a full gold tooth. However, I was still going to finish paying for it even though I was not satisfy with it. But when I called to require if they could take the balance off my insurance, their response was "Since you have insurance, it's a different process, it's going to be over a thousand dollars." This is the reason why I requested to get a refund, due to the dishonesty I do not want to do business with them. Please not a copy of the receipt, total balance is $on this receipt I paid $I also paid $but I misplaced that receipt. All together I paid $125.00.I'm still requesting a refund I would not do any more business with Smile Dental Care or would not recommend them to anyone. Thank you for your time.

The patient was initially seen on June 20, 2016 regarding the treatment in question. The patient an upper partial denture with an open-face gold crown (white tooth with a gold perimeter) on her right anterior lateral tooth. She was informed that this would cost an additional cost $125. She agreed to...

the additional cost.On July 25, 2016, she presented for a wax try-in of the partial. The patient was not satisfied with  open-face gold Crown that had been placed on the denture, although this was the type of crown that she had requested.  Her total fee including the costs of the two gold Crowns and the denture was $588.On December 5, 2016, the patient presented for try-in of the partial without the gold tooth in place to see if she would like that. She preferred the gold tooth. So the case was returned to the lab for placement of the gold tooth. On December 19, 2016, the patient presented for try-in of the denture with the gold tooth in place. She was satisfied with the appearance of the denture. The denture was returned to the lab to process the denture to completion. On January 31, 2017, the patient presented for final delivery of the denture. Significant time was spent time was spent with the patient to meet her satisfaction. After more than one hour the patient felt comfortable and was satisfied with the fit and appearance of the denture. (This type of appointment routinely takes 20 minutes.) At this point the patient stated that she would return in two weeks to take the denture, due to financial constraints. At that time she had paid $125 and had a balance of $463.  The patient presented two days later to have a filling done. At that appointment she again stated that she would return for the partial in a couple of week when she would have the money. She was offered an additional discount of $100 out of our concern for her finances. She did not contact us again until September 6, 2017. She stated that she wanted her denture. However, after being informed of her balance she demanded back the $125 that she paid toward the denture. As a courtesy our office will allow patients to make payments throughout the process of making a denture, but we do expect full payment when delivery of the partial is made. A significant amount of time was spent to meet the patient's concerns. We have tried to make several attempts to contact the patient to discuss hr concerns.  The patient has never responded back to our office.  We are glad to assist the patient, but she needs to communicate with our office.  We are eager to work with our patients, and we are happy to answer any further questions you may have.We may be reached by our email [email protected] or by our phone number ###-###-####.  Thank you and have a wonderful day.Dr. Alesia C[redacted] DDSSmile Dental Care
