Review: I ordered a book from smilebooks on 7/**/13. When I rec'd my credit card bill I was also charged a foreign exchange fee. I verified that this charge was not present on the invoice total when I processed my online payment to them. This was an additional charge. I then verified the company's address. Listed on their website as

I am in Tennessee, they are in NJ. All in US. SHould not be foreign exchange fee. I contacted them and they responded 8/**/13 that a credit had been issued. When I rec'd my next statement, the credit was not there. I contacted them again. They assured my on 9/**/13 the credit had happened. I asked for proof b/c my credit company said it had not been issued. I had to ask for proof three times. They sent me a screen shot in what I believe is German. I can't read it. As of 8 am. this morning 9/**/13 my credit card company states the credit has not been issued. I contacted them again today and asked that they escalate my complaint and have someone call me. No one has contacted me. All of my communication has been with [redacted] and I have copies of all emails The foreign exchange fee is small but if is added to all customers orders, it could amount to a huge profit for their company. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

I was able to receive confirmation from my credit card company this morning that a credit has been issued to my account by Internet Photo Company. The representative at Citibank did not see the credit yesterday b/c she was looking for a credit from Smilebooks. Not sure how it was overlooked considering the only other credit to my account was my payment.

I am satisfied with the outcome. However, it is up to you if you want to check into the foreign exchange fee. From what I understand, they are listed as a business in New Jersey, but they do their billing from Denmark.
