As a new construction home owner, I was tasked with creating a punchlist to finish imperfections of the houseAfter trying to get a hold of the project manager for over months, he was unable to send someone according to my availability, and when I became available, he would no-show the day I scheduled to work from homeCurrently have unfinished crown molding, pendant lights that were supposed to be installed sitting in a box because the project manager threatened me after a review I left about Landmark homes online
What can I say about Spring Oaks? The house and location are nice, but other than thatSTAY AWAY FROM LANDMARK HOMESDO NOT BUY WITH THEMLet me tell you my story, I was living in Virginia by the time I found out about these homes and as a first time home buyer, this seemed like a no brainerI agreed on July 2017, Jay Heilman even told me the house was going to be ready by December that yearI understand that houses take time and theres delays, but don't try to reel in customers by promising them a dateThat's the first strike, after waiting till December, they tell me that they had switched Builders and needed to audit the current houses which delayed my house FOR MONTHSThen they blamed Delmarva for another delay eventually having the house ready in June I was a little disgruntled for the additional time which incurred some costs that I did not expect (storage, rent, etc.) and I requested a compensation package after detailing the hardships that I went through (over $4000) and they only offered to put up ceiling fans and a garage openerAfter a few back and forth, they decide to include crown molding JUST FOR THE FOYER which in no way, shape, or form amounts to what I had to spend but now that I have my house, I'm not too worried about itBut now, I have to deal with this lazy project manager named Bob Whiteoak that clearly is past his time as a project manager, EXTREMELY hard to get a hold off, he seems to have notion of what scheduling with a client is, he just sends builders unannounced at 7am JUST TO RING A DOORBELLNot a single call to notify that they are there to finish the jobSo I'm currently sitting in my new home, months in with no fans and an unfinished crown molding because they clearly bit off more than they could chewI am not the only one who is unhappy with how Landmark has handled this project with multiple neighbors experiencing the similar, if not, the same issue with Landmark, Jay and BobSteer clear from Landmark, Ryan homes are probably going to take over which is not a good thing but anything is better than Landmark at this point
