My son had an accident with his car. He had it tied to Smith Buick of Gallipolis Ohio to the body shop. My son waited patiently for approximately one month for a status on his vehicle. He called the body shop leaving messages to the manager, Jeremy Odell. No return calls. No updates. Nothing. Finally my sons insurance agent calls him to tell him the parts were on back order and didn’t know when the parts would be in. Still no word from the body shop manager. My son uses my car to go to the body shop to get answers. At this time the body shop manager advices my son to have me to call the body shop or stop by to discuss the matter. I attempted to call the body shop that’s when it escalated even more. The body shop manager hung up on me 4 times and I was trying to do was help my son and get some answers. He still does not have his car back and still no contact with the body shop manager. The body shop manager even threatened to push the car outside and have it toed. All we want are options or at least a phone call. We must not be important enough for them. Can you help us please? Thank you.

The vehicle, belonging to ***, was brought in for body shop repairs. Due to the GM strike, the OEM parts were delayed. The vehicle was insured through *** Insurance. I called and spoke with *** Insurance about the option to use aftermarket parts to speed up the repair the vehicle. *** Insurance approved that option if the customer would be satisfied with using aftermarket parts. I suggested that *** talk with his father, ***, about using aftermarket parts rather than OEM parts for the repair of the vehicle. Having had previous experience with the *** and also knowing that *** used to work at a dealership, I was certain that he would advise not to use the aftermarket parts.The following day, *** called and declined the use of aftermarket parts to repair his vehicle. *** Insurance and *** came to an agreement that the body shop could use an aftermarket radiator and condenser to speed up the repair and get the vehicle back on the road until the GM strike was over and OEM parts could be acquired and replace the aftermarket parts.*** called in telling me I was going to listen to him and he continued talking in a belligerent manner, so I hung up the phone. Then he called back and left a voicemail message that advised in his words, “I am coming after you, bub” and “You are stupid.” After that message was left on my voicemail I let another advisor handle the remainder of the transaction.If you have any questions, please let us know.Sincerely,Andrea HSmith Chevrolet Inc.

In response to Smith Buick’s response, the incident did not happen in that order. Ever since the very beginning all we were asking for was communication between my son and the body shop manager. After a month and a half, I was aggravated. Having questions but could not get any answers. Since my son did agree with the aftermarket parts, we still have not received any word on the quality GM parts which Smith Buick agreed to contact my son *** on this matter. In regards to the aftermarket parts in the beginning, that’s what our question was. We wanted to ask, what is the part we are waiting on. Again, no communication. We will be glad when this issue is resolved. It wasn’t until we went to the dealership to find out what the part was. Poor management makes poor customer satisfaction. December 5,2019 at approximately 10:11 was the last interaction we had with Smith Buick. Once again poor management.
