I purchased a headstone from this company on *** I have not received the product from them STILL and its months later
On *** I purchased a headstone for a loved one who recently passed awayI paid in full, with cash, on the day of the purchaseThey provided a receipt and informed me it would take some time to receive the headstone causing me to miss the cemetery's spring installI understood and expected the stone to be purchased, engraved and ready for install for the fall installation which was *** of When we purchased the stone the woman who sold us the stone told us that we should expect a call from them when they had a stamp ready for us to reviewNo one ever calledI called times between January and August to check in and there were various excusesOne of them being that the owners mother died causing him to be backed of with workOF COURSE I understood given I had just lost a loved one, however, there was no resolution from the ownerMonths cont

On April 16, 2013 I paid Smith Monuments [redacted] as a deposit (approximately [redacted] for a headstone and foot stone for my late [redacted]. The order form states delivery time is approximately 3 months. [redacted] verbally told me it may be a little more but not too much. After many phone calls and broken promises on delivery dates the foot stone was completed and paid for on 10/10/13. Mr. [redacted] assured me yet again that the head stone would be done very soon. He showed me some crates and told me all the pieces had arrived. I tried to press him for a date and he said by November at the latest, he would call me as soon as he was ready for final approval of the stencil. Its now 2/3/14, ten months after taking my deposit and the work is not completed. I am tired of all the calls that lead to promised dates that he has no intention of keeping. I am filing this complaint as my last attempt to get this resolved before I am forced to take legal action.Product_Or_Service: Headstone and FootstoneDesired SettlementImmediately finish the work I contracted you to do 10 months ago or refund my deposit money so I can find a more reputable company to complete the work. Business Response Have met with Mr. [redacted] and resolved the problem to his satisfaction. 2/21/14 I called Mr. [redacted] with an update and had to leave him a message. I told him the main part of the stone is done and weather permitting the stone should be completed and installed next week.Final Business Response Contract with Mr. [redacted] has been completed, monument has been set in cemetery. I spoke to Mr. [redacted] to let him know.
