Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The statements he made regarding "not getting paid for the radiator cover and  stating he’d “try” to come over are simply not correct, as I have the FOUR checks which he endorsed, and as listed in the complaint - $1100 was for the original work discussed (this check was made out to his company name and he then inquired if I could make subsequent checks out to cash, which I did) - the drywall that was installed in my den; and an additional $350. was for moulding installed along the floor; another $150 was paid for the installation of luan on the door in my den, which I initially thought was included in the $1100 estimate and finally a check for $400 which, according to [redacted], was for "other work", which I would like to know what he is referring to…[redacted] took my radiator cover with him in order to build a replacement cover and had never returned after that time in the summer of 2013…in my two conversations with [redacted] in the summer of 2014, he did in fact state unequivocally, that he was coming over!…my second, and final conversation with him was on a wednesday and I asked him if in fact, he still had my radiator cover, to which he replied "no I don't do you still have any measurements for it?"….I said “no, [redacted], you took the measurements and the cover, I don’t have anything here and I wouldn’t even try to measure the opening, since you are the professional!”...there is no question that he removed the radiator cover from my home and I have none at this time…also during this conversation he said "i'll be there by the end of the week!" and I responded, "[redacted], it's wednesday, that means you're coming over either thursday or friday?"….to which he replied "yes, I have to pick up some money from someone in franklin square"…and I further asked him, "so that means if you're not gonna pick up that money, you're not coming here?"…and his reply was "i'm picking up the money, i've been doing business with this guy for years!"…that was the last time I heard anything from [redacted].

I never got paid for a radiator cover . All the work I did was complete .When we spoke I said I would try to come by when I got a chance .There was no day or time set. The 400.00 was for work that was...

completed .you are adding the radiator cover. that was not part of the job.I don"t answer every call that comes to my phone if I did I never get any work done. if I don"t now the number I don"t answer it .If the call is so important they will leave a message. I was not the one who asked to have the checks made out to cash.I still have to put the check though the bank so that would not have benifitted me

Review: Here is an email I just sent which will explain the matter in detail:[redacted],This is [redacted] and I have spoken to you twice in the past several weeks, both times you promised to come by and complete the job you began last July and were paid in full for. And on both occasions, you failed to keep your promise to re-measure the opening, and you also failed to cal me to inform me that you would not be keeping either of those promised visits. Also, you informed me that you no longer had the one you took from me, which you stated you were going to attempt to duplicate it, as discussed. I gave you three checks, in the following amounts: $1100.00 for the drywall in the den; another $350.00 to install floor moulding and finally another $400.00 to install luan on the den closet door and replace the radiator cover in the den as well. You took the radiator cover with you and that was the last time I had any contact with you until I began calling you a few weeks ago. I understand you are extremely busy, however, in my opinion, an incomplete job from a year ago which you have already received payment on should take precedence over a new job and had you called me to let me know that you needed to reschedule, I'd have been completely understanding. Yet now I am left feeling less than satisfied about an otherwise great job.I attempted to call you again today and got your voice mail. I did not leave you a message and will try to speak with you one more time before pursuing any legal recourse. I truly hope that is not necessary and we can resolve this matter like gentleman, as we had been, last summer when you began the job.In the meanwhile, feel free to call me to discuss a proper resolution, at:###-###-#### - H###-###-#### - [redacted]Actually, I just discovered that he was issued a FOURTH check in the amount of $150.00 to complete the door in the den, bringing the total paid to him, to $2000.00. All checks were made out to "cash" per his request. I will attempt to get copies from my bank.Desired Settlement: I want him to complete the job, as promised, with a quality product and quality workmanship, just as he provided on the rest of the job he did. I am very satisfied with that work.
