Smith Superior Painting, Drywall

Review: [redacted], owner of Smith Superior Painting and Repair Services, has not followed through with his contract. He claimed he was a licensed contractor, which after a New Castle County Licensed Contractor search, he is not. I signed a "contract" with him with his plan of work which he never followed through with. His timing, professionalism, cleanliness and all around work is beyond unsatisfactory. I had to void/fire [redacted] and his contract for not following through with his work. After discussing with him that I would no longer allow him to complete the work, he became raged and used profanity that is not appropriate for a business owner. It appears that [redacted] nor his employees are licensed contractors and/or business owners. I have text messages on my cell phone that state I could fire him for not showing up to the job site. He stated in the signed contract that the work would be done by 03/30/2014, today is 04/09/2014 and the work is not completed. I have been without a working bathroom for weeks and promised almost every day that I would be in my working bathroom in a few days. Overall, [redacted] is a manipulating contractor and should not be permitted to have a license in the state of Delaware or any other state.Desired Settlement: On 03/24/2014 I paid [redacted] $2,000.00 cash. I would like to void my contract at this point. I am not asking for my money back nor am I willing to pay him the remaining balance since the work was not completed or up to my standards. I am hiring a licensed contractor to complete/redo any and all work that [redacted] did not complete or complete properly.
