Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:This company is incredibly disingenuous I will address each of their responsesThe pool was not paid in full (and a final invoice was never even sent to me) because as I stated before, their overflow drainpipe was never functioning properly It is NOT 3/inch and there was never any debris blocking the drain at any time Innovative Pools refused to address this at the time I brought it to their attention They stormed off my property and told me specifically they would not honor any warranties (again, never sending me a final invoice) and now they are suddenly willing to install another drain The soil is not very poor This is a complete lie on there part In fact, they backfilled the pool and only ended up needing half as much backfill as they thought initially because the soil was not as bad as first thought They even told me the soil in Bastrop where they also build pools is far worse and I had nothing to worry aboutThey absolutely did not "dowel into the house to provide additional stability" This is a complete lie It simply never happenedThe cracks in the stones were not "hairline" nor were the cracks in the slab they poured once the cracked stones were removedThey were hugeThe stones on the deck were not only cracked but also depressed at least 1/inchI have photos and videos that document all of the damageI had a structural engineer as what needed to be done and sent a video to a number of foundation companies all of which agreed that polyurethane foam injections is what was needed to stabilize the deck This is the "unknown substance" that was injected by a company named *** I have no idea what they mean by "the substrate this unknown substance was injected into" as the polyurethane is injected under the slab to stabilize it "Perhaps they should Google polyurethane foam to stabilize foundations so it becomes obvious to them what this "unknown substance" is and how widely used it is I would think a pool construction company would be aware of such technical concepts but obviously not They want to imply that I went to all this trouble consulting engineers and foundation companies and then spend $to do something harmful to my pool deck that they in fact did not construct properlyAnd yes, *** had to drill more holes, as injecting the polyurethane foam is precise requiring it to be injected at very specific points They say if I had come to them this could have all been avoided That is comical as the solution to this problem was the injection of the polyurethane foamI came to them with this problem on two occasions and they simply replaced the cracked stones, which cracked again, and then a third timeThey would never have corrected the underlying problem, which was to structurally stabilize the deck And even more unbelievable is that they told me never to contact them again!!I used a very reputable mason to do the repairs and it was not just stones; it was also all the grout that had cracked along the drains that they rerouted again twiceThey had to remove all the stones without damaging any others and this company did an impeccable jobThey claim they use the best masons but they fired the mason who did my deck because of incompetence and began using a mason that used to work for the fired mason This mason that they fired did over $worth of damage to my landscaping by dumping grout all over my gravel and river rocks Innovative Pool acknowledged this and credited me the $ Mr*** in fact told me in order to recoup this money, he would hire the fired mason to do a couple of jobs and not pay him I would swear under oath in a court of law that he said that to me So not only would he take advantage of this mason; he would also let this mason he just fired potentially do more damage to someone else's property by hiring him again for the purpose of trying to recoup his money I think that says a lot about the integrity of this company. I stand by my original claim that Innovative Pools owes me $10, All the damage to the deck is documented with photographs and videos I consulted with an engineer and several foundation companies and proceeded with a solution that is well established (polyurethane foam injections) The fact that they consider what I did as "injecting an unknown substance into the substrate" clearly indicates they are not even capable of diagnosis and fixing this serious problem that occurred because of their negligence

To whom it may concern,This complaint seem to cover quite a bit of issues and I will do my best to address them in a suitably brief manor.  First, it would be nice if we were told that there were continuing issues with any part of the pool, we were under the impression these issued had been...

resolved.  We have built over 1000 pools in the Austin area and we do our best to make everyone happy no matter how difficult the atmosphere is.  Secondly this pool was never paid in full, and final invoice amount were discussed.  On to the issues: The overflow pipe that was used for the pool is a standard 3/4" line that fits into the manufactured fitting in the skimmer.  It is fairly common for these drains to get a bit of debris (leaves, bugs, ect.) from the pool side as they are located above the skimmer basket.  Once you clear them from the outgoing side, if they have become clogged, the drain will function correctly again as demonstrated.  I can only assume the "couple days of heavy rain" was one of the record breaking deluge's that made everyone's pool overflow (along with flooding out some neighborhoods and taking out bridges).  We would be happy to install a different drain line under the coping on the back side of the pool. As indicated by the complaint, this house is build on very difficult soil conditions that we took in to account with the pool and deck construction.  I believe we did dowel into the house for additional stability prior to pouring the pool patio.  We did replace some stones on the pool patio (along with some on the house patio that we did not pour) and there were only tin hairline separations on the pool patio and on the house slab (as there are in any concrete foundations house or patio).  It is unfortunate that the homeowner did not contact us to let our masons replace the stones.  Paying a ridiculous amount to replace some stones does not mean they were mortared on to the concrete any better, we have some of the best masons in the business and could have done that work for under $1000.  It also seems that most of the stone issues were caused by someone else drilling holes into the patio and injecting a foreign material into the substrate.  We have no idea what it was, we were not consulted prior to this action being taken, and can not warranty any issues that could be a result of this.  I am not sure why the stones were not removed for inspection prior to hammering holes all over the place?  If we were given the opportunity to fix these issues (even though we are still have not been paid in full) I believe this could have been avoided.  We are still willing to help with any viable issues that may come up along the way as we take pride in the fact that we get our pools by referral only  strive to make everyone as happy as possible.
