I am rejecting this response because: Smith Volvo is without a doubt the most underhanded car dealer on the planet! During my negotiations to purchase the car I asked the salesman B[redacted] to allow me to put a cash deposit on the vehicle until I could travel to Califotnia to have a pre-sale inspection of the car. I was told that Smith Volvo would not allow a deposit and I would have to sign the contracts the next day. Also, I was told that due to the sale being out of state I would have to have the car shipped by truck so Smith Volvo would have a Bill of Lading to show the State of California that no sales tax had been collected by the Dealer. When my car was delivered it was damaged. I repeatedly asked for a Bill of Lading and have been told repeatedly there IS NO BILL OF LADING as required by law for interstate shipping. I have contacted the DOT re this matter and have also contacted the State of California. I intend to sue Smith Volvo in Federal Court for Unfair and Deceptive trade practices, Negligence and Fraud(No Bill of Lading). I have bought 3 cars in 3 years from this dealer, and I look forward to bringing the horrible shady business practices of Smith Volvo to light.
