Smith's Auto Sate of Rimersburg, LLC 108 Reigel School Road Rimersburg, PA 16248 Revdex.com 400 Holiday Drive, Suite 220 Pittsburgh, PA 15520 October 13, 2015 ID:#[redacted] Dear [redacted]: This is in response made by [redacted] and [redacted] about the 2007 Pontiac Torrent purchased on...

August 14, 2015. Enclosed you will find a copy of the bill of sale. Purchase price of the vehicle was $10,995.00. Total cost with license, warranty and GAP insurance was $14,191.30. Mrs. [redacted] did call right away with the problem. When this happens we do not turn it into the warranty company. This is something that should have been fixed before they bought their car. We did take care of all cost for the repairs. Enclosed are the work orders and part slips of the work that was performed on their vehicle. As far as call backs, our mechanic said he called and left a message saying that the vehicle was done. I cannot say for sure that he did. We were not able to provide a loaner car due to not having one available. In closing, we do try to make ALL of our customers happy. We are not sending her a bill because we did say that we would take care of all expenses. It appears that we haven't done enough for them. Some people only see the bad point and nothing else. We do feel that this claim is ridiculous.Thank you for your time listening to our response.Larry P [redacted] Smith's Auto Sales of Rimersburg, LLC

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/04/21) */
They did purchase 1993 Chevy pick up truck from us and traded their Ford Taurus, which was not in running condition. They brought it back asking for it to be fixed and wanted to know what it would cost. We offered to pay half and they would pay...

half to fix the starter. They did not want to pay for a starter and they ended up leaving the vehicle at a Ford Dealership in another community for us to pick up. They did not pay us a deposit or any cash. They only traded in the non running Ford Taurus. I have s signed contract and As Is paper work.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] from [redacted] in April 2015.In May I discovered (from [redacted]) that the vehicle had a bad transmission leak. I had a 3 months/ 4,500 miles warranty on the MDX. I tried to contact Mr. [redacted], but he avoided me. I mailed/faxed him a letter about the problem and Mr. [redacted] did not come get the vehicle to fix it until June 9. I explained to Mr. [redacted] that I would need a receipt to show that the vehicle had been fixed and he agreed. On June 12, 2015 Mr. [redacted] returned the vehicle. He said that the problem was fixed. I asked him for a receipt and he stated that he did not have one for me. July 8, I was traveling and the transmission temperature light came on. I called Mr. [redacted] to tell him that I believe that there is still a problem with the transmission because the temperature light had came on. He stated that nothing was wrong with it, and advised me to "just put some transmission fluid in there". On October 2, after dropping off my son, the vehicle made a loud sound and started to slow down in the middle on the road. I press on the gas, but the car would barely move. I got back home safely and parked (when I realize that SUV wouldn't go in reverse). I took it to a nearby shop and they told me that my transmission was shot. I have tried call Mr. [redacted], but he has not call me back. I live two hours from his auto lot and I am unable to stop by. I also had some nearby family members try to contact him, however he will not answer us back. I am still making my payments for a vehicle that I cannot drive. When the problem with the transmission came up, I was still under warranty. Mr. [redacted] gave me no proof that he fixed my truck and he has not been returning my calls.Desired Settlement: I was under warranty when the problem with the transmission occurred. Now that my transmission is gone, I realize that the problem was not fixed. I would like to have my vehicle repaired, at Mr. [redacted]'s expense, at a auto shop of my choosing.
