Complaint # [redacted] I have gone over this complaint and they have contacted me several timesI asked for photos of the problems and after reviewing the photos the base board issue they are having is due to the sub floor not being level and they were told at the time the base would not be flat all the way around the room due to high spots on the floorThe picture send of the transition strips show what look to be scratched from something being drug over it or a pet scratching itThe other picture is of a space between two rooms where the transition was installed and looks to have been ripped outThe boyfriend did a walk threw with me after all the work was done and was happy with the workIt wasn't till days later the girlfriend contacted me complaining of things her boyfriend new aboutIf there is anymore you need from me feel free to contact me at anytime

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.RE: ***Dear Ms ***:This is in response to my complaint on Smiths FlooringI have read the response and enclosed you will find copies of some of the emails and text messages we have sent this business ownerOver and over again he states how busy he is but he will stop over or even send someone over to address our concerns and he never stopped and nobody from his company ever stoppedAs a good business owner, a customers concerns should be addressed not ignoredThe business owner does not live far from us so it would of taken a few minutes to stop and see what we felt was wrong.We did review the work briefly after it was completedIt was not until I cleaned the flooring until I realized the areas that are not correctYes we were advised that the flooring was not level so some of the baseboard would not meet the flooringNever was it indicated that you would be able to stick your whole finger between the twoThe transition piece between the dining room and the kitchen was not ripped itThe piece was never installed correctly using the track that comes with the transition pieceThis was just placed in the space so when you would walk on it or bump it, the piece would come out of placeThepiece was easily removed to show the picture of no trackWhy would we remove this if it was installed correctly?The transition pieces installed around the tile were not installed correctly eitherThe pieces are installed where there is a 3/inch gap between the tile and the flooring so now the one part of the transition piece is cracked, not scratched by a pet and nothing was dragged acrossed it.This business owner is out to make money and does not care about the customerWe no longer want this business in our homeIt would be nice to get reimbursed for the transition pieces he installed incorrectly and now we have to go spend more money and get new ones, it would be nice to be reimbursed for these but doubt this would ever happenWe just wanted others to be aware that when hiring this business to be aware of what could happen if you hire Smith Flooring..Sincerely,*** ***
