Review: I'm restoring an old 1962 chevy impala. I was searching for two 14" by 6-1/4 steal gm rims for my car. I have two already and need to match the other two. I called Smitty's salvage and they said they had the rims. So I showed up at the location. This is where it gets interesting I walk up to the service counter where there are two workers one by a computer and the other behind a cage as a payment counter. I say hi I called about the impala rims?. The guy to the left assist me He says "yea let me check here as he starts checking his computer he says ok its 11:15 can u give me until 12:30? In which I replied oh they aren't ready? He instantly becomes annoyed of me and says no they are still on the car, We don't pull parts until there paid for. So I say ok thats fine. I just wanna make sure they are the same rims. He replies back there the same rim's there off a 1962 skylark. And they are all interchangeable From gm In a frustrating voice! I say oh ok I didn't know that. well I have my rim with me if you'd like to see it so we can be positive it matches? And he immediately says no. I don't need to see it! it's the same! Do u want them or or not u have to pay for them before i'm pulling them off the car. At this point I felt somewhat pressured and rudely treated. But it's something I was Willing to look past. In order to find the rims I've been searching for. So I trust him that there gonna be the same. and pay for the two rims 73.86. I end up going to lunch to waste time. I Get back at Smitty's salvage at 12:30 walk in the office and the same guy that help me first says there almost ready! So I took a seat an waited another ten minutes. In which he says there down stairs. So I went down an looked at them both and compared them to the one I brought. This Is where I made the mistake of not actually measuring them an just based it of the look of the rim I had with me. I stacked my rim on there two rims to see if it was the same in diameter, in which it was and the rim match except for the depth. thats what I didn't check for is the depth of the rim. my rim depth is 6 and 1/4. One of the rim they gave me was the same as that by the other rim was 9- 1/4. I notice this as soon as I got home an really started to look em over. As soon as I noticed it I called Smitty's immediately, because I already knew what there attitude was when I was there earlier I knew this was gonna be a bad situation so I calmly call an say hey I didn't notice but one of the rims is 3 inches bigger he was actually nice an said jus bring it back in and we'll switch it out. I thought great. Well being the Fourth of July that week I decided to wait until after the holiday. 7-7-13 to exchange it. I called that day and he said yes I already told u bring it back In. I said yes I was just making sure it was off the car before I came in. he said yes it's off and hung up on me. So I showed up at Smitty's and I see a rim sitting out where they set your parts and it was another 9-1/4 depth rim the one I didn't need. I walk upstairs an ask if the rim was ready? It was the other guy that I paid from an he says its down stairs I said oh ok I just look at it and its the deep dish rim the 9-1/4 I need the 6-1/4 depth rim. And he says well that's what we got. I'm like well Sr I can't use that rim is there anything we can work out? He says if you stop talking and let me talk! I say I'm not talking over you I just want what's fair and he got even more upset at me that I said that. and was like nope I'm done. You can leave now. The other guy that I originally talk to about it at the computer. walks in and says just use the two deep dish wheels and I say I can't my other two rims aren't the same he says well they probably are not the original ones there probably spares! Where I said ok thats fine I just want all four to match. he like oh well cant help you there! We are all calmly talking thought out this time. It was just the fact they showed no care after the sale. And told me to leave there business. I basically said u have o honor a exchange or refund And in my view you should at lest make sure what your selling is really what your selling. And now here I sit with two different rims and just feel like this is illegal of them to not give me what they said they had. Or to not honer there condition of sales that's printed on there receipt.Desired Settlement: The business should supply the correct product like they said they had. Or a full refund.

On 7/8/13 [redacted] came into exchange a wheel so he had 2 matching rims. He had called earlier to see if the rim was ready because he did not want to wait. When he came the original salesperson he dealt with was not available at the time. He then talked to the owner and was very persitent on telling him what he should do and how he should run his business. After going on and on about how things should go he was asked to leave.

Be careful if you go here. I went there with some recyclable material, neatly on a skid. I requested them to use a forklift because the items were heavy and they said "just push it off your truck", I replied its much to too heavy and I do not want to damage my vehicle. They proceeded to do it themselves and damaged my vehicle and the spray in bed liner. Then they told me it was my fault. Avoid this place at all costs.
