Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I spent nearly a lot of money on my car to fix a single issuseNever once, from the moment that the car was initially repaired until the present was the problem fully-resolvedAAMCO did nothing in the way of properly diagnosing the issue, and instead chose to continually charge me for new parts in the hop that would fix the problemA proper diagnosis as to why the car was initially brought in would have saved me hundreds of dollars in parts and labor fees It is the responsibility of the mechanic to diagnose the issue the vehicle was brought in forIf in turn the mechanic is unable to properly do so, they should inform the customer as such and allow the customer to take their vehicle to an operation better suited to help the customer's needs That was not my experience with AAMCOThe vehicle was never properly fixed and I was repeatedly charged for more repairs with each time I brought the vehicle back If, in fact, the transaction had played out in the manner that has been described in the response, why than would each of these additional repairs not have been diagnosed the first time that I brought my vehicle into the shop? I had to bring my car in times, not counting the time that AAMCO did not properly hook up a hose thereby forcing me to return my vehicle, and was charged as such to fix the same problemWhy was this problem not properly diagnosed the first time?In regards to the fuel pump, AAMCO was once again offering to charge me to once again attempt to fix the exact same problem that I brought the car in for in the first placeI was not willing to pay AAMCO a third time to fix a problem that they'd been unable to do anything about the first few times When offered a figure of $or $per part in fuel pumps supplied by AAMCO; without being charged for labor I countered with the option of ordering the part myself The mechanic agreed to thisIt took all of a week for the new fuel pump tp stop working; thereby placing me in the exact same situation I was in when I originally brought the car inMy brother, having worked in the car industry, offered to call AAMCO and get a better idea of that was taking place for meI acceptedI was contacted by AAMCO who told me to meet them at my house so that they could check out what was wrong with my car After meeting them, the owner told me to leave my car under the floor mat and that a tow truck would be by to pick it upThe tow truck never came and my vehicle remains unable to run. What AAMCO is failing to take responsibility for; is that within a relatively short period of time they charged a customer a significant amount of money in parts and labor; over repeated visits, while never properly diagnosing or fixing the problem that the vehicle was initially brought in for If a customer pays over $1,to repair a vehicle that is not properly staring than the car should work If the fuel pump was the problem, than why was I charged for an alternator, starter, radiator and battery? How can a business get away with continually charging a customer and never fixing the problem? When the owner makes a point to say that my vehicle was brought back "a full month" after the initial repairs, he's making an attempt to distance himself from the issue As though his employees did their job correctly the first time around, and "a full month later" these new problems are entirely unrelatedThat is clearly a stretch, as the vehicle was brought back for the exact same problemHe fails to recognize that the initial charge of nearly $in parts and labor is a substantial sum for some customers I was well aware of the fact that my car was still not running properly from long before that "full month." By the same token, I was not a a financial situation to pay for more repairsI had several people remark, that if I had just paid that amount, my car should start better than it wasI waited until I was financially able to return my vehicle, to do so.I would like to reimbursed for improperly diagnosing my vehicle; thereby leading to unnecessary parts and labor fees WHy didn't they just fix the fuel pump the first time?I have all the receipts necessary to prove my side
Regards,
