I used to like this place until this past month I have a disabled husband that has served his country twice in Vietnam My rent is due on the first of the month I have never been late and have been here over years On the first of the month my husband had to call because of a breathing issue, he was rushed to the hospital I was notified at work that he was being taken to the hospital, this was later in the day and I left work to join him I realized when I was at the hospital that it was the first of the month and I had the rent check in my wallet I called and left a message with the management staff and explained what had happened and that I was sorry and would get them the rent tomorrow Tomorrow came, I called them to let them know that I would be there momentarily and was informed that I was going to be charge $late charge I said, even though I had an emergency, never had been late before, and couldn't have gotten it there before midnight because I was at the hospital They said there was nothing they could do I feel this is totally wrong and unacceptable I know they are now under new management again and that the previous management was aware of my husbands medical issues and would have understood or at least attempted to waive the fee

Staff do not follon requests for repairs; staff do not return calls when they say they will; staff has lost written request for repairs; up-keep of grounds, buildings, tennis court are not up to parthere is not washer/dryer hoin units and laundry facilities that are located on property are nasty and the machines do not workstair-wells are not kept clean (spider webs, stairs not safe), when I called to make a formal complaint with The Connor Group regarding one of their properties (Stone Ridge at Vinnings Apartments) Sherry stated she could not help me because she was not the manager of the facility although she is the General manager

DO MAKE THIS MISTAKE!!!
I lived here for years and it was, without a doubt the worst place I have ever had the misfortune of residing in!
Aside from the racket they have set up with the billing (forced cable, water, "community lighting" and trashwhich consists of one undersized dumpster on the other side of the complex) and the escalating cost of rent by 15% everytime you re-sign a lease, the worst part is the upkeep/cleanliness or lack thereof
Shortly after moving in, there was the stench of a dead animal that progressively worsenedIt eminated through the entire unitWe called about it times and was told it was just due to paintWhen they finally sent a maintenance worker weeks later, they found the remains of a dead squirrel in the attic and oddly not covered in any paintThe wildlife infestations were a common theme for the duration of our stay at McaulyThe thundering of squirrels in the attic were eventually replaced by a (large and very reproductive) family of raccoons that found permanent residence in the living room wall, above and around our fireplaceThey would often dig at the wall, fight, bark and frequently have littersThe digging got to the point where my family wasn't confortable being there while I wasn't present for fear of a wildlife incursion into our unitAside from the annoyance, raccoons also present a serious health hazardTheir stool carries worms and bacteria that are an inhalation hazardAfter the raccoons established residence I had an MRI done due to chest pain and breathing issues which revealed a fungal infection in my lungsThis was the deciding factor for our family to relocate
To add insult to injury, after our departure the billing service McCauly uses has decided to bill us for services/charges that were incurred after we had vacated the premises by the predetermined dateUnbelievable!

I have rented an apartment in [redacted]. This is under the Connor Group. I was asked for a deposit of 600 dollars. I paid the deposit and I liked the apartment. But, it was unclean and I was told that my apartment will be cleaned before I move in. I was told this first on the 31st of Nov then I was told this on Dec 1st. Then I was told that I would have it cleaned by noon on Dec 2nd. This apartment had a stain on the carpet ,unclean toilet and a mark on the wall by the bedroom and the patio had a broken screen. So on the 2nd I thought of moving at around 4 pm. I emailed and tried to contact the leasing office and I got no response whatsoever. I packed a few of my stuff and took it to the new apartment hoping that the apartment would have been cleaned. I open the door and viola it is still in the same situation as it was in the previous day. On meeting the apartment manager she told someone will be over to clean the apartment but only the carpet because (these are her own words) "I would have to come and do them myself the next day". I was lost for words. All this happened at 4:45 pm. I waited from then until 5:30 in front of the apartment for it to be cleaned. Nothing was done. On emailing them again on the situation. I got no response. Then on calling the leasing office I was put on hold for 15 mins. The leasing office closes at 6 pm. So, once it was around that time they have their usual excuse we are closing today our manager will call you tomorrow. My lease started on the 1st and now it is 6:15 pm on the 2nd and I still haven't been able to move in because of the horrible situation the apartment is in. Oh and the fun fact, for the cleaning of the apartment they are using my electricity. Just when you think it can't get better.

He losge at frisco bridges is the poorest managed property I have ever lived. The rats run like sheep, it is not secure, gates dont work half the time, gate doors pryed open and never repaired so anyone can walk in, they cut holes in our walls to check sprinkler system, didn't clean it up, and it took 2 months to fix the holes. I could not even bring anyone over. The mgmt will not call or email you back and the mgmt turnover here is ridiculous. They are finally planting some grass - was mud. Dog crap everywhere and no one picks up after their dogs. I have pics - it is disgusting, caught 4 rats in 2 glue traps one night. Sick and diseased property. Moving out early - I am getting an attorney if they try and keep all my deposits and for leaving this gross place early. I did give 60 day notice.

I am disabled and on Social Security. My monthly check is direct deposited on the 3rd of each month. My rent is due on the 1st or else I pay a $100 late fee. They will not reconsider this rule.

I lived at Mad River for a year when the Connor Group bought it. My water bill went from $28 to $71 for a one bedroom apartment with one person in it. Why????? Only reason I could figure out is because the Connor Group bought them and wanted to really get as much money out of their residents as they could. Well when my lease was up they were going to raise my rent over $100, so I just moved out. I could have afforded it but why? Well I left the apartment in good shape. I am a very clean person. Yes I have a dog but I clean his paws when he going out and gets them dirty before I let him in the house. I have always treated my apartment like it was mine because it was my home. Well I got $11.83 back from my deposit. They charged me $120 to clean the carpet. According to Ohio law you cannot be charged for normal wear and tear. At first when I questioned the manager and showed him the law, he said my carpet had to be deep cleaned. When I asked for a copy of the carpet cleaning bill, he then said there was no copy but that $40 a room was their standard charge for carpet cleaning - so actually whether or not it was "deep cleaned" or not they charge you $40 a room, which according to Ohio renters laws, they clearly cannot do. I would never recommended any apartment owned by the Connor Group. They will nickel and dime you to death. They own the Villager, Hunters Chase, Steeplechase, Mad River, Austin Springs and one on Yankee whose name I cannot remember. Avoid these places like the plaque if you value your money.
