Smooth Moves

I will go ahead and start off by how taken back on this report I am. There is so much here that is incorrect and wrong. I have met with all of my crew that was on the job as well as my estimator who booked the job and here what was complied.
 
#1. [redacted] called to set up a last minute...

move and Zane (my estimator) got her scheduled pretty quickly to do the estimate. The estimate was scheduled for 8-19-16 and after Zane had done the walk through he informed her that it would be 3 guys + 1 Truck @ $150hr and the job would take 4-6 hours ($600 - $900). That is our standard weekday rate and that is about an average amount of time for this type of move. Zane did note that the apartment was in a bit of disarray and she seemed to be in a hurry to get out. She wanted to get on schedule for the following Monday 8-22-16 and we accommodated her and got her on schedule and moved a couple other things around. Upon booking everything was normal and just fine.
 
#2. The day of the move when it came time to go over paperwork [redacted] became very mad towards the crew but signed the paperwork anyway showing 3 guys + 1 Truck @ $150hr for 6 hours which was $900. In this industry we only bill on the actual time taken to complete the job and the estimate is usually on the higher side. Either way she signed agreeing to the estimate of $900. During the move every one of my guys had reason to believe she was either drunk or on drugs, two of the guys witnesses her taking pills and missing her mouth with the pills and drinking water like she was still taking them when they were on the ground. [redacted] became vulgar and rude to every one of the crew members on the job and would give one crew member the finger each time he would walk away from her.
 
#3. When they were unloading furniture into the destination, [redacted] had asked where they think she should put the furniture and one of the guys said "this is your house ma'am we will put it wherever you like". For some reason that really made her mad and that was when she gave that crew member the finger as he walked off.
 
#4. The guys did not get a good feeling from [redacted] but they did quality work as they always do. There goal was to beat the estimate which was at $900 so they worked at a pretty fast pace and was able to beat it. The total after discounts that Zane had applied because she was angry came to $750 and [redacted] wrote the check for what was due.
 
#5. [redacted] called the office and I spoke with her about doing something extra we don't normally do and I went ahead and approved of it and she was thankful. That was the only communication her and I have had.  Since she filed this complaint, I have left several messages with her to call me so we can find a solution for the both of us. [redacted] has neglected to return any of my phone calls and went and cancelled the check so now we have a returned check fee.

You definitely were not over charged. You were billed the actual time taken to complete the job as you knew. In your report you didn't say the guys were slow and standing around because my crew is all trained and they move efficiently. With that being said, I am a fair person and business owner and if you would return my calls I am willing to work something out with you.
 
Yes we have good references because we do great work, not every job will be perfect and I take care of those ones that are not but your job was pretty simple and just a move from one place to another without any packing.
 
As far as your broken pieces I am more than happy to take a look at them. The crew pointed out the broken end table before loading it up at the origin. Again, if you get in contact with me I will schedule a time to look at it.
 
I truly believe you were not treated badly. In my 8 years of business I have NEVER once gotten feedback from a customer stating they were treated badly. I get calls weekly for how nice and accommodating my crew is.
 
As far as your disability, they had no idea you were disabled because you were not in a wheel chair nor had a walker so saying you think you were treated badly because "you're a disabled women" Is absolutely absurd. To also state we are "trying to rip a single mom off" is also absurd. After I served our country in the US Navy and got this business going and it has become what it is today is because I am an honest person  not the other way around!
It seems you think we tried to take advantage of you cause your a women which makes no sense especially when we have alliances with DV shelters for women where we offer free services to help those in need.

Review: I had quotes to move my belongins for $280 for movers on my sending side $284 for my truck and $260 for my movers on the receiving side. Thats $844 plus gas approximately $150-200, a total of $1044. They quote my wife a flat $1600 to do it all no hassle for all my stuff. I am busy working and along with my wife decide it is worth the extra $550 to have a mover take care of it all. Unfortunately at the destination, they only brought half my belongings and expected a full payment. I agreed to pay half before and half after delivery. However, since they did not get all my stuff I will not pay for the final payment until they finish delivery.Desired Settlement: Deliver the rest of my stuff for the full other half of payment. ($800)
